That was what i had in mind too. At the moment i am using QooCam EGO and if this Acer camera can beat out in terms of 4K+4K and white balance lock, I am going to make an upgrade.
I dunno, the other SpatialLabs laptops are available. I got mine off of ebay from some collage that bought a ConceptD 7 SpatialLabs laptop thinking it'd be good for science or something. Got it for only $850 when it was $3500 retail. Now the price on ebay for that particular model is about $700, super worth it in my opinion to experience the newest 3D laptop tech without spending $3000 or more, just be careful not to buy from a scammer! Btw the 3D community for gaming mostly hangs out on Discord in the Nvidia Vision 3D server.
Is it output compatible with older tech? I have an HD 3D LG TV, not 4K, and a Fujitsu Lifebook laptop with 3D blu-ray player built-in & passive RealD screen. Also have a BenQ DLP-Link projector. I want to shoot 3D for projection, ultimate ideal would be 180 with 2D peripherals and stereo 3D center screen.
I don't have a 3D TV, but when I uploaded 3D movies to torrent sites in 180p SBS format users complained that their TV can't play it, those 3D TVs from the 2010s can only play 1080p half-SBS videos.
It's for 3d depth, not vr. Cant get depth with a 180 or 360 camera. Depth requires 2 lenses. Just like 2 eyeballs. That camera combined with the acer screen would make it look like a hologram. Like u could stick ur hand in the screen. I had the red hydrogen one and an old HTC phone with active 3d screens. I loved them. Looked like u were staring into a miniature world.
@@DennyAJDlooking for a solid option for filming family moments in stereoscopic 180 3d. The new Calf gen 2 Visince looks potentially good.... any other options under 3 grand?
@@christianlamb i'm also interested to the Calf gen 2 since my Lenovo Mirage lense got some scratches and it has terrible mic. So far, i did not find any better than the Calf
Looks fantastic but… it has a fixed battery inside. Can you imagine? If you want to change it when you’ve made many great shots outdoors but you want make more… Not possible. Yes, you can take a separate battery pack with you and connect it with a cable, but this is surely not what I would do. Charging is only possible on the camera. Battery end of life? Costly service is the only solution. Its a bummer that a for the rest great camera has such a shortcomming. Acer; back to the drawing room and straighten this in a next model, and put in an optical zoom (without loosing the wide angle of this model).
Nice. I like design. I assume that "8k" is 4k+4k? Which is actually not a real 8k, but still awesome.

Yeah... he isn't very clear about that see here -> 0:20
0:30 - A device doing 3D 8K 30fps isn't new, is it the smaller form factor that's different?
1:12 - Why didn't you set the camera being shown down on a stable surface? Or the Tripod? Its so shaky.
Another 3D product we will never see for sale in the USA.

Not for sale anywhere on earth really
Hi. Do you know where you can buy it? Should I expect you to review it?
When is the camera available? Can't find any details on the Acer page. Cheers!
Dunno yet, rumors speculate a few months, most likely later this year

2024 almost at an end but no price or launch details yet, was this a prototype?
It looks VERY like a Qoocam Ego, hmm, I wonder if there is some sort of partnership going on?
the lady in the back 🥰
oof, so there's no way to view your photos in 3D unless you also buy a separate (expensive!) monitor. that's rough!
Buy a quest 3s for 300 bucks or better quest 3 for 500 or less. Enjoy.
A 3D cam without 180° field of view?

Don't go for the Calf Visinse guys. I had my eye on that camera too, but have you seen sample footage? It's atrocious.
