Let me tell you something about this tool. It's not perfect, but it is genius in design. Quality is not great, but it's sufficient. However... The one weak point, and it's going to happen to most of you who actually use this is the small pin near the plier head. The ones who own this know what I'm talking about. It locks the spring and gives rigidity to the pliers and it provides spring action. Yeah... It's going to fail. Good news, the tool still works. But it's going to feel like a noodle after that. You could say it's the design flaw, I call it quality flaw. It's the only part on this that needs to have super steel and it feels like they put the cheapest alloy ever.
Amazing test. It is great to see someone do this. The only concern is the Phillips screwdriver. I think you got lucky and tested it on the perfect screw in the video lol. The screwdriver is actually terrible in day-to-day use, possibly the worst Phillips screwdriver that I have ever used.
@@SliceOLife buy Victorinox 91 model whic is contra whit tools and some of tools have beter can opener or you said scroo driver Victorinox have clasic +and - drivers and cost 25 to 35 max € or $ but you don't need smole players and that boost price with Victorinox you will bee happy and buy + scale that is for litle pen its put and forget and 10 times in 1 are it helps you allot. And scales and pen is max 10$ or€
volkandrae - The gerber dime wouldn't hold up to those torture tests. It's not as strong as the squirt ps4. I broke 2 dimes, still have my squirt after 2yrs of use.
Harry Daniels I can confirm that! I’ve broken three Gerber dimes all within about a week of regular use (the first, the screwdriver just snapped off. The second, the package scorer actually broke its river... and I managed to bend the pliers with just finger pressure on the third). Don’t buy Chinese garbage. My one and only Squirt PS4 has been on my keychain almost nonstop since 2017 with no issues.

Nevertheless, expecting a small wire cutter to cut through a wood screw is simply ridiculous - no wire cutter should be evaluated on such a test. Keep it real, please. Otherwise we will see you trying to use tweezers to lift cinderblocks or something like that. Keep it real and honest and your videos will do us all an even greater service.
I really like the Squirt, so much stronger than the Dime. I ended up giving it to my teenage son as my ageing eyes struggled to see if I was opening the scissors or the screwdriver. Upgraded to a bigger Leatherman, problem solved.
What steel is that screw made out of, which could not be cut through with the metal saw? Guessing higher strength than the Squirt metal saw/file. Maybe they thought such small multitool would not be used for such job. 😋
Litle Squirt PS4 is really small but I have change batery from my car with Skeletool and Squirt . And im really hard on my multi tool I cary Skeletool un packet has 145grams, gud knife, but players are too soft, and both rust like crazy. That is problem in 1 weak Skeletool pick up litle spots of rust, and that is fast. I think Leatherman coality control is realy beed but if something hepens you get newe one. But that is not solution. So I will buy Victorinox Spirit MX clip, and hee is also light 200grams, packet cary. And has much more to offer and its not rusting, also guarantee is wery good.

could you possibly give the gerber dime the same treatment? there are a lot of differing opinions about these two mini multitools on the web

pliers are very good, can cut 2 mm hardwire with jaws. gerber dime is a failure at that task or easier tasks.

Very impressive ! But my Gerber Dime is more practical to me. It may not be as strong but it does well for what i use it for !
