Hey Shawn, just watched your video for the DIY car cart. I have a 1936 Desoto that's heavier than the car you have. What I'm trying to do is make something similar to what you built except what I have in mind is to construct the car body cart high enough to where I can unbolt the body from the frame and keep the body on the cart and slide out the frame so I can work on the frame. Thoughts?

You think 4x4 all around would be fine ?

Yea that should be fine. I’m using these 4x6 in the weak orientation anyway so if you are just doing a car body should be fine.

Hello Shawn, I will try to do the sam as you did but with a pallet don't know if it will work... 😅 Are you going to put it again in the jack stands just to work on it better or because you think it could affect to the chasis or something, let me know. Many thanks!

It’s actually really strong. So far all the work I have done has been with it on the cart. I only put it on jack stands if I have to get under the car. Good luck with the build on yours!

@@ShawnCrowley what about pushing it over a slit or crack? Are you able to kind of yank on body and frame comes along?

Hey I seen this is a pretty old video but I’m hoping you could still respond. What wheels did you use for it? I have a project car as well and wanted to get wheels under the dolly that can handle the weight. Like yours it’s pretty much just a shell

Do a search for heavy duty casters. Estimate the weight and then just increase wheel count based on caster load rating. This is what I used; Everbilt
3 in. Industrial Steel Swivel Plate Caster with 300 lbs. Weight Capacity

Longest 5min video I’ve ever seen but very good method!! Thank u. Do more.. but suggest doing demonstration with audio overlay.. don’t have to explain every detail.
