Toyota HIACE launched in 2004 and Carryover to 2024 model year.
The fifth-generation Toyota Hiace, first launched in 2004, is celebrating its 20th year in production. Despite the introduction of the sixth-gen HiACE in 2019, the 'flatnose' version remains available in Japan, receiving updates for the 2024 model year. These include a new grille, alloy wheel designs, and an 'Earth Color Package' with beige and khaki options.
The wheelchair accessible version now features electronic wheelchair anchor bars, enhancing loading efficiency.
The ambulance variant, HiMedic, introduces ITS Connect for emergency alerts to other equipped vehicles.
Engine options in Japan include a 2.0-liter gas engine and a detuned 2.8-liter turbodiesel, with a six-speed automatic transmission and optional four-wheel drive.
