Definitely envious!! We couldn’t touch the lodge with it being full. We did eat/drink at the dining area outside. Were hoping to go back one day and if we can stay here, I plan on doing Angels landing solo. Not sure how far up I’ll make it, definitely pass Walters Wiggles and to the top until the chain area lol
That room was actually my sister's room. We stayed down the road just outside the park at the Cliff Rose Lodge. Funny story, my sister broke her ankle at the lodge and had her whole room plus lunch at the dining room completely comped. The lighting outside the lodge is really bad and she fell down over a curb walking to the car one night. She's much better now but it made for an interesting story
Man thats unfortunate luck. At least the lodge tried to make it right. Traveling on your adventures must be extreme! So let me get this story right...Bonecrusher gets a broken arm and your sister breaks her ankle? We ended up staying in Springdale, can't recall if it was Hampton or the best western, we ended up walking up and down their "strip" at night. That whole town is amazing
Wow, yeah, now that you mention it, I have left a trail of broken bones around me on our adventures. Maybe I'm cursed! LOL. It really sucked. Sis broke her ankle on our first night there and they had to drive all the way to St. George to the E.R. That hike we did to Weeping Rock was the next day and she actually did it on a crutch. We're a family of bad-asses but you may not want to hike with us - unless you like broken bones. :-)
