My Dad's family was from Jersey City, I haven't traveled the Holland Tunnel since the 70's. As kids we always looked to see if we could see the policeman in his booth on the side of the tunnel. Or at least we thought they were police. Good times.
Holland Tunnel. such Iconic and incredibly bottle neck traffic area from Jersey City, NJ to Down Town manhattan WTC area. I remember as a kid from the back seat, I always use to stare at the twin towers. They use to look so majestic and dominating. God! those 90s decade memories were so great and unforgettable.
The Holland Tunnel...one of the backdoors into NYC (the others being the Lincoln Tunnel and the Gothals Bridge into Staten Island) and is the oldest freeway tunnel in the USA.
Childhood memories going through the Holland!
I lived right next to the tunnel when I was born. Boy how that area has changed!
