I genuinely feel bad for the kids that played this game far enough to get into Round 4. Imagine how traumatized they were when reaching that level, Jesus Christ.
i agree, these kids when have to play the game on round 4, many kids is horrifying, and at night it couldn't sleep when they see that round 4 it seems that round 4 is the bloody pound, along with those satanic creatures
The atmosphere of the blood pool reminds me a lot of the Cilia Monster boss from Abadox on Nintendo. The lack of music, droning sounds and creepy environment gives you this feeling like something bad is going to happen.
Same me i wanted to know if the bloody pond has music and its a great game i don't know why he hates it, sure their are disturbing stuff but ive seen worst
So Castlevania meets Ghosts N Goblins in a sort of Asia setting, while you play through what looks to be a part of the Divine Comedy, with a main character that reminds me more of Bonk than it does Dante... just without such a large head. Where was this arcade game during my youth?
Speaking of AVGN did you see his review of taito games and also which boss if it is Emma then I agree if it’s the 1st boss then you need to get the pattern down when the projectile comes toward you need to jump up and down but not too quick or else you’ll die from the projectile
Its Pretty Messed up when you think this game's Japanese Title is Hell Tour and round 4 is really messed with the lack of music and other things in it.
What I really hate about this game is the ridiculous difficulty spike at the end. The game doesn't really have bosses, but at the end you fight a ridiculously long and hard boss.
SCHLAUCHI-senpai does it again! what I've always liked about this gem, besides being made by Taito, is that it almost-flawlessly combines elements of Capcoms MakaiMura/N' Ghosts series with Namco's Genpei Toumaden & their own Rastan for a unique & engaging experience. the downside (of sorts) it'sjust as tough as all 3 of them... then again who doesn't like a good challenge right? keep 'em comin' Team Cubex!
Hidden items, big bonus points, impressive power ups, good storyline, colorful foes, neat weapons.......oh,yeah......a typically groovy Taito game.Bring it on to Nintendo switch please.
Wow now that I finished the video, simply astonishing. Amazing to see this man play with such expertise and commitment to the form. Stuck so close to beauty of the game.
xxgoku77 because of the C-chip I think it is a chip the PCB uses to control certain things on the game and this is like played with a version of mame that hasn't this MCU dumped in recent versions it is dumped already and the game should play fine now

Same me i wanted to know if the bloody pond has music and its a great game i don't know why he hates it, sure their are disturbing stuff but ive seen worst
When you're a monk and you have to collect a buncha blue coffee mugs.
They are paper talismans.
Now that I've learned some more about Japanese mythology, this game makes marginally more sense to me.
yeah, it's like this game is a sort of precedent to the Dante's Inferno game :)

one of the hardest boss fights I 've ever come up against in my whole life. from 2nd generation consoles to 8th. I am dead fucking serious.

this game has really interesting music.
Enjoyable sloshy sounds on the blood lake level
This is pretty much a trip to hell in way.
The Japanese version's name literally translates as Hell Tour after all.
Its Pretty Messed up when you think this game's Japanese Title is Hell Tour and round 4 is really messed with the lack of music and other things in it.
mmhm
Game was all like...you're in Hell now.....FOREVER
Especially the death animation
4:35 ♫Row, row, row your boat gently down the Styx♫ LOL.

Hardest end boss I've ever seen...
this instantly reminded me of Ghost n Goblins
this reminds me of Shadow Land by Namco
i play on mame 32 and if i die at the boss zone of the fire zone the third zone i can't respawn i get a locate spawn error
OMG 27:36 - 28:36 How the hell do you do that!!!

It is on the Switch. Arcade Archives Bonze Adventure. I just found out about it while searching around the Switch eShop.
I have got to go online for this......thanks for the info.
What's with all the BEER everywhere? LOL
Not beer, talismans.
There should've been a remastered Bonze Adventure game filled with Japanese Buddhist metal music to fit the hellish and Buddhist themes.
Creepypasta?
I thought the final boss name was Enma not Emma...well anyway I know I seen him in other Japanese games before...
wow ! nice gaming, tnx for upload !
Excellent.
O M G !! GG MY FRIEND!!
is this from MAME 32
Bonze, useful in arcades, useful in crosswords.

So, a longplayer that doesn't know how to reach underground on first level..?
could you please do space invaders 95
I'm still asking myself... Why has the stage 4 no sound.... I mean. Bgm
xxgoku77 because of the C-chip I think it is a chip the PCB uses to control certain things on the game and this is like played with a version of mame that hasn't this MCU dumped in recent versions it is dumped already and the game should play fine now
Stage 4 is not meant to have music, the gurgling liquidy sound is what you are supposed to hear for that stage.
Great and obscure platformer game
Dont know how many quarters I spent on the*&*& %$%##% last stage and final boss(es)
BEWARE THE LOST PEOPLE lol!!!!
Never seen the actual game before; only seen on the anime, Hi Score Girl (season 1 episode 5)
Wild!
I know I know.. But man he has some really big balls!?
26:40 ... Mahogany.

More like Emma-owned.
