There's always a question about who should be the product owner on a Scrum team or an Agile team.
The answer? Well, it's complicated. Sometimes it might be a product manager, but that's not always right.
Some teams like to make a project manager a product owner on an Agile team, but that often fails.
So who should the Product Owner on an Agile Scrum team be? Well, one solution to that problem is to just let the Scrum developers decide.
Remember, self-managed teams are an objective for all Agile development shops, and allowing a team to select an Agile Product Owner for the Scrum team is the right thing to do.
