While my future plans do not include this mill in my arsenal, I have thoroughly enjoyed your assembly and narration. The detail of the presentation for the company in which you have shown should be a positive promotion for the company. This could be a training video without fail. Thanks, and best wishes on the cabin project, I will be tuning in to see the progress, jb
Quite the procedure to set the Mill up. Sure is small compared to the big Saw Mill. Will come in quite handy for what your wanting to do. Was interesting to watch the entire video. Thanks for sharing. Have a great week.
Awesome stuff, as always that's the perfect size for what u need for the cabin 😀 and don't have to move the other mill. u guys will be popping up cabins all over the property 😂😂 just need the mud mixer behind u.
I bought the OS18 on a Fathers Day sale of 25% off, total $2505 Tax and Shipping with a 5' track extension. I do not yet have it operational, although it is fully assembled, as I have to prepare a place in my back yard for it, level and compact the ground and then level the track.
You might want to trim the ends of the 6 x 6 timbers on the operator side that the mill sits on so they are not a trip hazard. Nice mill, thanks for the detailed set up video.
My neighbor had about 15 guinea that roamed 3 properties. When they were alive, we very very rarely had ticks on any of the animals or humans. Since they all died, huge increase. Those things eat ticks like a fat boy eats cake.
High Tony I've been watching your channel for a long time. Been looking at this exact same 1 so am curious about it. Are you in Paris Tennessee? I'm located in Bumpus Mills about an hour away. Would you still recommend this mill. I'm an old guy with a lot of Cedar trees on this property that might be just what I'm looking for thanks
Question: Do you wish it had an electric start or is the pull start ok? Great work Tony!! Frontier makes the best sawmills in my opinion. Thanks for sharing! 😎
I just assembled my OS18. I noticed your left side (operator side) belt is loose enough to see a gap between belt and pulley, mine is like this too. But mine rubs against the plastic housing even with the blade correctly tensioned. Did you encounter this? You showed the loose belt around 13 minutes in to this video.

I am setting up an OS18 now and I too have a toad living in and around the base. Frontier the Toad !!
Frontier the Toad! He is everywhere!
Tony enjoy your new sawmill thats is the beginning of the construction of the Cabin 👍
That's the plan! I can't wait.
You seem to have an instant affinity with this new mill. Thinner kerf is a great way too add value. Thanks for posting.
I did order the blade extension. It is hard to get an 8' board like it is. It can be done, but it will much better with the extension.

Thank you Gene. We did order the track extension. I think being able to cut 12' boards will make this spot on.
Dave Canterbury has a good video on ticks. THanks for the videos!
Thanks for the tip!

Nice mill, thanks for the detailed set up video.

Love your videos wish I had went with the tym tractor
Thank you Rodney. My TYM tractors have held up well.
I have a 1025r wish it was a bigger frame and horse power. But my wife bought it for me so I can't say nothing to bad .
It is a really good tractor. I had a 1025r in 2014. 👍

Good to know. I am only worried they will be loud. That is all I remember about them as a kid.

It is easy to pull start this engine. They are a good bang for the buck, I would love hydraulics.
Nice job ,talk about drying time
One year per inch of hardwood

Lower the cover. It is held on by eight bolts.
@@TonysTractorAdventure Thanks, I'll check that out. The company told me to cut that part out.. I thought that was a bizarre solution.
Who sells the blower you are using?
Harbor Freight
looks like a HFT Hercules, jb

The Mud Mixer and this sawmill will get some serious use over the next year.
