A bit of a shortsighted argument to compare WRG/Flo to McD's/BK, Chevy/Ford, etc. The size of those markets is relatively fixed, the players in the market are just hashing out how they divvy up the pie. That's not the case with dirt racing. The sport needs growth. Pretty hard to grow a sport when you ignore the existence of it outside of your events. I dunno, maybe I'm nuts, but I'd rather have the same percentage of a much bigger pie than wrestle over a couple percentage points of an itty bitty one.
Chase Raudman is always talking about other series. Johnny Gibson won’t even mention drivers HL finished. I love Knoxville and Eldora when the track announcers paired with Johnny throw the HL stuff out there all the time.
It's a marketing playbook a century old. Coke (No 1) won't talk about Pepsi (No 2), but Pepsit will makes ads comparing Coke. McDonalds (No 1) won't talk about Burger King, but Burger King will reference McDonalds. Any number 1 player in any segment general never discusses the competition. Any number 2 and beyond in a segment has nothing to lose. Hence, when High Limit evolved, it could afford to talk about WoO - but not the other way around. This latest move by DirtVision is incredibly curious. Certainly breaks the playbook.
The Chili Bowl is the one race where any fan turned “media person” can build a name and elevate what they’re doing, what you’re doing, and what we’re all doing. This time of year it’s about making noise and getting eyeballs on your gimmick. WRG is doing just that. Playing nice by dropping your competitors name? Textbook maneuver. The idea is to use Chili Bowl and this global captivated audience to YOUR advantage. Start with some momentum now versus waiting 2 days before Volusia. Entertainment 101 Handbook ✌🏽
It seems to me that if WRG and Flo were to work together, it would likely benefit both. There’s just too much racing out there for 1 major streaming service to do it all. Just my opinion from 30,000 feet. Great show!
Vado Speedway canceled the postponed show from Wednesday to Thursday, it’s now canceled & racing resumes Friday with no makeup. I’m sure they posted the revision to The Wild West Shootout at Vado Speedway Parkcame out after you posted today’s show.
Don’t antagonize the fans for pointing out the selfishness of WRG. If the the two streaming services worked together the whole sport would benefit. NBC and Fox don’t seem to have problems working together to broadcast nascar. WRG has done a lot for the sport over the years but their behavior since High Limit went national has also held the sport back. The fans are within their right to point out that fact.
OK, so is this not the outcome people want? You can't complain a company doesn't do something than complain when they do what you want them to. Granted I guess you can, but it's not a great idea if you want the big bad company to continue listening to complaints.

My comment was directed at Justin for making it sound like fans have been unreasonable for complaining that WRG has not cooperated well with its peer. You might call them competitors but if someone’s goal is to watch as much sprint car racing as possible without regard to cost then the two companies would be compliments to each other.
WRG should stop trying to compete with Flo and try to cooperate instead. Flo is cheaper and higher quality. If the intense competition continues Flo will be “all alone like the chess club president on prom night”.
I feel like the big test will be if a WoO driver wins a big High Limit show and the official WoO twitter mentions @HL in their post. Or if they promote @HL in that back to back at Eldora like HL mentions the @WoO. That will be when I accept that they aren't being juvenile
the cory day's debute day begins, wonder when he will get to run the big show, hope he gets to run openwheel when he hits the big time on pavement, hes a force to reckon with already, if you got to go see the late summer run two years ago and last year remember you saw a potential legend in the making and saw it at a midwestern short track first unless you saw him in cali first. hope parker price miller is able to land a ride before the main season starts, hes made a go of it for several years and the guy has had some tough luck with fighting cancer too lucky hes come out on top so far.
Maybe WRG is starting to accept that Flo, HL, and now Lucas are tied together and not going away. It's a missed opportunity to continue to act like they don't exist.
Floracing is much more enjoyable over all. I can't put a finger on why. DV is generally good. Hope it stays put... i think Flo brings more Matt Weaver, Jeff Gluck, and those types eyes and grows event and sport more.

I am not renewing my DIRTVision subscription this year just because of that high limit. We talk about outlaw drivers all the time when they are racing with them, but Johnny Gibson, which I love I’m sure is told what to say will not acknowledge high limit drivers and that just pisses me off so I’m done with DIRTVision until something changes. I’ve had DIRTVision for a long time, but no more
Idk about anyone else but I was very upset that wrg did not do a $100 off renewal for dirtvison on black friday this year, even at $200 was still more than flo with much less range of coverage.$300 is rediculous
I'm not sure when I received it, was definitely in the last few months of 2024, but I received emails about $100 off of Dirtvision. I of course did not subscribe as even with a $100 discount its still way more than Flo with a large amount less content.

WRG is just trying to stay afloat while Flo is growing. I watch both but Flo is just simply better.
