What do you think are the biggest NASCAR stories heading into 2025?
Hélio Castroneves attempting the 500
Hopefully some new Manufacturers coming into the sport. I know there were on going talks between NASCAR and Honda a few years back. If they go all hands on deck like they do with their Indy program in a NASCAR program they will hit the ground running for a successful first year when/if it still happens
Michael Waltrip: lOoK aT dAnNy DyE! DAnNy dYe iS gOnNe bE tHe 2025 xFiNiTy cHaMpIoN!
The battle for Rookie of the Year 2025., is there anyone else coming up to Cup or will it be SVG unopposed
Svg being full time in cup
The Entry list for the 500
Kyle Larson doing the double again
Well, I certainly hope Montreal makes it into NASCAR by 2026 because it would be nice to have US Canada and Mexico all represented in NASCAR race wise
Yeah. I'm also hoping to see NASCAR return to Canada in the near-future because I've talked a lot about how NASCAR has produced some great moments in Canada over the years and if it was up to me, I'd prefer to see the sport return to Circuit Gilles Villeneuve in Montreal with the Cup and Xfinity series racing there.
See I’d like to see both Canada and Mexico’s oval tracks get some dates inbetween cup through to arca. Mexico has badass oval tracks and if we’re not going to go to more of the .750-1/1.1.25 mile length tracks in the U.S. why not go north or south hell why not check out what Europe has in ovals, I just don’t want too many road courses
Up in Canada, we want nascar trucks to return mosport. A very exciting road course
358 days left till 2026.
It would be great that the 51st state , Canada would host a cup race , joining the state of Mexico ( the 52nd state ! ) 😂🤣😂
I'm excited for bowman gray despite the haters with the composite bodies and the format they are using I think it will be fun
It's just these fanatics with no life online. They act like they own the cars getting torn up or something
Actual fans agree with you, historical gets thrown around alot about racetracks but bowman gray stadium is actually, truly a historical venue. It's going to be alot of fun
Me too
@@CodyLetsRace I just hope the package actually brings a good race. The track itself is plenty capable, so if the event is a bust then we know what to blame...
I live 10 minutes away from Bowman Gray, the big draw for a lot of people isn't always the racing, or the fact that it's a historic venue. For many of us it's to go watch generational rivalries play out and see people drive over the infield to wreck someone, and the fact that on a normal weekend its the cheapest thing you can do other than stay at home, $12 for a ticket and you can bring your own food and drink in.
NASCAR does not like either of those things so that's what I have to gripe about. If the sanctioning body allows these guys to go all out and play by the normal Bowman Gray rulebook then it'll be a true Bowman Gray race.
Kaulig’s #10 will be pretty nutty going into 2025….
One note about the Xfinity Series race in Portland is that it takes place two weeks after Indycar holds their race. This means that PIR will have both an Indycar & an Xfinity Series race in the same month for the first time ever which is a win for racing fans in the PNW as it means that 3 major series will have races in the area within a span of a month when you add in the NHRA event at Pacific Raceways near Seattle in mid July. The main reason why this move was made was to make sure that the track would get more revenue from having 2 races in the same month & it is better to have those two races in August than in June. Previously it was the Xfinity Series & Formula E that had races in Portland during the month of June. However Formula E decided to move their US race to Homestead in April (a couple of weeks after the Cup Series race).
Yo Iceberg, I really appreciate your Winston Cup Standings post you make on the channel after every race weekend. I will be looking at that more than ever, since that's the only way a champion should be crowned. I'm sure you will do it again and I'm looking forward to keeping track of the points with you, much appreciated.
Really looking forward to the new season. Can’t wait.
Same! Getting closer is washing the 2024 after taste out for me
@@SuperNASCARrocks This is gonna be a fun season
Trucks at Lime Rock
Xfinity at Rockingham
Cup at Mexico City
And please let NASCAR 25 the game not be a dumpster fire like Ignition was/is
Most looking forward to the Rockingham return. NASCAR will regret having so many cable races with this TV deal, feels like they went backwards not forward with the TV deal other than Prime i suppose.
I didn’t like Rockingham to begin with.
Cup series needs to have a streaming option for all the races. Too many on cable only and I will miss all of those.
I couldn't be anymore excited for The 2025 NASCAR Season which will be 27 Years that I've been a Diehard NASCAR Fan
And NASCAR 25 is The One Game not named GTA 6 That I'm looking to playing The Most this year
So many different chapters for a number of drivers and teams.
Something u forgot to mention was Chandler Smith going over to front row racing
The truck side may end up getting it's own video in all honesty
I appreciate you going over all the key changes in one video. Great summary and I feel more prepared for the season. Got tix for my home track iowa speedway and can’t wait!
If 2024 is full of chaos, greatness, and controversies.
2025 would be more of that.
I hope they finally know when to throw a yellow cus they never gonna hear the end of it
The one thing that automatically makes 2025 different from last year is the different drivers being in different teams now.
I think 2026 is NASCARs year, Homestead championship, a race at the Rock. It’ll be great.
I think Wood Bros isnt as good as people think. Harrison may have been moved up a little early, but he wasnt working with a top team. Harrison's win is going to help Berry though because Wood Bros. Got a lot of cash from Harrison being in the playoffs, so hopefully that'll translate into performance. But i wouldn't expect Berry to do to much better than Harrison right out of the gate
I think they will probably run about 25th-10th for the first half and probably become a solid top 20 team in the second half with Berry getting used to the Penske Equipment
Wish for the TV broadcasts that it was:
FOX
NBC
ABC/ESPN
CBS
The Trucks at the Roval is going to be one of the best races we've ever seen
I wish Kaulig would have used the 13 for Ty Dillon. They've been using that number recently plus that was Ty's number for many years when he was with Germain Racing.
Please can we get Nascar here in the UK, Brands Hatch would be perfect 🤘
I think that heading into the Daytona 500, the biggest story will be the entry list and how many open cars we will have.
But as the season goes on, I would say the lawsuit and streaming ratings will overtake the headlines for the most part.
As for me, I am just looking forward to all of this in my second season of NASCAR Rebirth Cup Series starting lineup and final results vids. I think I might even include the duels this year.
Edit: when you talk about Riley Herbst, I kind of have to disagree at the moment on him being a third chartered team. If I recall correctly from Court orders, 23Xi needed to file another preliminary injunction to get their SHR charter.
The lawsuit will be a very interesting fold fs
I believe nascar apparently just gave up and approved the sale because they thought the injunction would be approved anyway
I'm super excited for the new NASCAR game
I hope with all this new TV deals and whatnot for this season, it doesn't affect the races being uploaded on youtube in full. As someone outside the US its the easiest and best way for me to watch the races after they have been run.
I really question the Amazon prime streaming for nascar this year….
Currently the biggest story is the schedule for 2025. In our eyes this is the biggest and best schedule that we have seen in a very long time. Thank you for the complete breakdown of all your topics.
If Lions win Super Bowl, Brad Keselowski is winning the 500.
No he's not
Why cant we go back to two one hour practices. 1 on friday before qualifying, Qualifying friday evening and one practice after qualifying
Perhaps in the coming years, NASCAR will make that happen. With maybe even three or four for the 500 (two before the duels).
Cost cutting
@@joshuapboston1999 yeah not with the leadership we have now
@@Vibewitkeezy_ always cost cutting
I'm really interested to see how the former shr drivers do with their new teams, and to see if the haas team is at all competitive
As a Canadian it’s going to be cool to watch Martin Truax Jr. in the Daytona 500 with his old championship crew chief Cole Pearn from Canada.
I am excited to see what this season has in store for us.
No rule change for the stupid playoffs wtf
McDowell to Spire is giving me serious MTJ to furniture row vibes. 🚀🚀
I wouldn’t mind Michael McDowell winning the championship speaking of which.
Thanks for the great video!
do we know if they’re running the full grand prix layout in mexico? or the shortened layout
I’m excited for Mexico. That will be very interesting
I only hope I can watch the Xfinity series live this year
Ford fan - hope the Fords teams continue to do well and win a lot of races! Brian - Las Vegas.
Limerock you says? Neat.
Do you know if RSS in xfinity series's is still running fords?
I don't understand why they don't use the 3rd car as a development car for Ford..
Ryan in the 39.
Kyle in the 28
Leave the 38 open for talent or cup drivers....
The first big TV change since 2000.
Pretty confident I heard Letart is not leaving NBC and just adding the Prime broadcast.
Yes I think he said that on xm last fall
Is the 88 in Cup part of the Earnhardt ownership? Same goes for the 8 in Xfinity?
Excited about new tv partners but worried about the lack of network races. Could hurt ratings after a solid ratings year.
Michael waltrip probably wants to announce xfinity now so he can still glaze Daniel dye
HI! What about the cars? We'll still have the Chevrolet Camaro in the cup series?
Would be cool if we went to a non-road course in Mexico/Canada/Australia/Europe
A lot sure has happened over the off-season, and there's still 41 days left before the 500
Hopefully they fix garbage short track problems with this next gen car along with getting rid of the ridicious playoff format that determines a winner over 1 race that isnt deserving of it. Probably the only positive i see for this season is actually giving the drivers practice to fine tune and get a balance on the cars the way it use to be.
Same, IF and I'm not holding my breath, but IF they can make short tracks fun to watch again I'll start watching again, otherwise, nope.
I wouldn’t mind Justin Allgaier winning two championships in a row. And I would be up for Brennan Poole winning a race for a change. I would be surprised if Connor Zilisch doesn’t win a race. And Sammy Smith I feel like will be the highest seller in merchandise among Xfinity Series drivers this year.
As for the Cup Series, there is so much I can say. But as I said before, Carson Hocevar making it in the playoffs would make for quite a story. I feel like the Chicago Race will appear again in 2026.
With the Truck Series, I would be up for Grant Enfinger finally winning the championship. And I wonder if Corey Heim will be the Truck Series version of Denny Hamlin? And I’m curious to see how well Frankie Muniz does.
Hey NASCAR come down under. Bathurst? Phillip Island? Or Surfers? Come on down it would be epic.
Outperforming Deegan…way to set the bar high 😂
I just think it's a horrible idea to have the races in Mexico and Sonoma in June and July, respectively. NASCAR is trying to give the drivers heat stroke.
thx for makin this vid
I think Noah is gonna have a Ross 2022 year.
Ross drove the 42 for ganassii, a teammate to the 1. After ganassii shut down, his entire team moved to the 1 for trackhouse.
Noah drove the 10 for haas, a teammate to the 4. After haas shut down, his entire team moved to the 4 for front row.
I'm surprised that there was no mention of the Truck series returning to Michigan. In my opinion, that track put on some of the best Truck races of the year, and it should've never been taken off the schedule in the first place.
I’m glad the 4 is sticking around.
I honestly think the 2024 playoff schedule was one of the best. If you want to determine a best all around champion, there should be an even split of racing disciplines. 2024 had 2 short tracks, 2 road courses, 2 super speedways, and 4 intermediates, which I felt was a perfect balance for competition and entertainment, with the typical NASCAR tracks still being favored and owning the final race. 2025 has 2 short tracks, 1 road course, 1 super speedway, and 6 intermediates.
What is the outlook for Kaz Grala. As a fan from new England I feel like i have to root for him
Let’s hope win and your in format gets knocked off of the playoffs for NASCAR and the playoff system gets changed next year
Is it February yet...
I wish. Currently January 7th 2025.
Thank God for 🏴☠️ bc fuck trying to hunt where the race is and paying for 5 different subscriptions 😂
So Steve Letarte is out at NBC?
Sonoma in July 🌞🥵
imma be waiting forever im sure... but still waiting for them to announce theyre getting rid of stages
Need to do away with the Stage racing makes no sense to have it
Outside of the obvious new additions to the schedule like Lime Rock, Rockingham, and Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez… I’m looking forward to the return of the spring Xfinity date at Bristol along with what’s going to come out of it now that Bristol has two triple header weekends. Bristol should be an interesting year considering that we’re also getting our first non-NASCAR sporting event since Battle at Bristol with MLB’s Speedway Classic in August ahead of the fall race weekend in September.
As far as a personal excitement goes, I’m looking forward to my first trip to Charlotte for the Coke 600 weekend that’s likely going to include a visit to the Hall of Fame as well as crossing off my first ARCA race with that Friday’s double header with trucks. It’ll be my 3rd track I visited (Bristol and Martinsville being the other two) and my first non-short track. Looking forward to that weekend and whatever is likely going to happen with checking off more tracks in the years to come (this will be my 22nd season of attending a NASCAR race and 23-24th overall season as a fan).
Looking forward to Josh Berry in the 21!
this the new era and i like it
might be the best season in a long while
With as many tracks that Nascar owns and sit vacant (i.e. ky speedway and such) sure wouldn't hurt to shift the tracks around each year. But whatever. I don't even like NASCAR. Was just curious to see if they did anything special with the race formats, and if they were going to push forward with tire compound regulations (soft/hard)
I'm very curious to see how competitive Front Row and Spire will be this year.
11:24 I think Steve Letarte is staying on the NBC team as well
Surprised NASCAR is still adopting the in season tournament since that was pretty sure Denny Hamlin’s idea if I’m not mistaken.
The in season tournament is a TNT thing.
@ originally was an idea from Denny tho I think
Thanks
Cody Ware full time in the 51 has only been rumored, there hasn’t been an announcement for it.
Toecar 🔛🔝
I'm curious to see who benefits from the bogus cautions this year and how NASCAR chooses to orchestrate them. It's pretty hard to beat a Walmart sign falling onto the track but you never know with NASCAR.
Can't wait to see NASCAR leadership wheel in a Honda stock car after announcing changes to the powerplant packages to make it easier for new OEMs to enter. With Honda and Nissan merging, maybe a Honda GTR stock car?
Not likely
Great vid, your “S”s hurt my ears tho😂
I hope AI brings back Earnhardt Sr. I might watch a race or two then.
I’ll take the real Dale Earnhardt Sr over AI.
I don't think Riley Herbst is ready for the Cup series yet because the cup series drivers are more aggressive when it comes to racing for the race lead and the race win.
I feel he might be aggressive enough, but he has to use his head while standing his ground
I hate how they butchered COTA because NASCAR cant figure our sector cautions. For a national motorsport this is elementary.
Brandon Jones is actually in the 20 full time. The 19 is the all star car.
Had no idea Sam Mayer was booted from his seat! Willing to bet he does not want a single race this year
It's probably a mix, good and bad changes.
I feel the the 5 prime races will have crappy ratings as far as viewers. NASCAR will regret that
Agreed
Debo agradecer que en latam todavia se sigan manteniendo los derechos de transmisión en un solo canal (aunque ese sea FS3)
I really hope briscoe does well in the toyota
Thought jones is driving the 20 and the all star car is the 19
So no more throwback races ever?
If NASCAR goes to discovery they are finished. If the fans see the numbers it's OVER!! The teams have been scrambling for a long time and have the receipts to prove it. NASCAR has increased revenue through television contracts and told the teams to F off for 10 plus years. Tony Stewart and those who love stock car racing and are sick of NASCAR could destroy NASCAR with a new sanctioning body that is financially fair and less intrusive. Start with a 10 race high horsepower outlaw series and grow it out from there.
And put it on real TV not Flo...I'd watch!
I’m sick of Needing 3 different streaming services in order to watch a whole season! Get by with so called local stations. But Amazon prime really?
Suburb Market killed Auto Club, Walmart killed the Auto Club short track
Those Wrestling aspects are destroying Nacsar
7:41 Atlanta 2 cup is on my birthday
I’ve literally never seen Cody Ware’s face before.
1:19 number 60, not 64 (he might of said ford though)
He said ford. But i get why you heard 64
He did say ford, but it does sound like 64 so I get where you're coming from
Of all the shake ups, Spire has the most potential. McDucky is better than the quality of his rides, Hayley has made every team he has been on better, or at least maintained. And Hovercar is Hovercar, if he can keep his emotions in check, he has far more talent than Hayley or McDucky.
Lets go blaney
Watch Riley Herbst be the next Jimmie Johnson
Not that it couldn’t happen. But Riley Herbert has yet to win a race in the Cup Series as of now.
Corey Lajoie should be in the 10 instead of Ty Dillon... Ty Dillon could be in a two car race and still come home in third place 😂
4:30 bro says Connor’s gonna be the next Larson.
My first thought: KEEP HIM AWAY FROM IMOLA
