😖 This was the perfect example of giving a song what it needs. He's at a drumming convention but the first minute is almost nothing but sitting in the pocket. Lost a legend last year.
As someone whose only known of this guy for like 2 years, meaning I have no nostalgia for that moment, this is definitely way better. He improved vastly. Although I will admit that the much better audio quality and mixing does help a lot. This is easily the best SOUNDING recording of this song at the very least.
One of the best! I will say, though, that every time I see Aaron Spears it looks like he was coming out to get the paper and someone grabbed him and took him to his kit.
You can tell he's grown SOOOO far beyond that song in terms of what he is actually capable of. Probably like asking a concert pianist to play chopsticks one more time.
