Hi Brendan, was nice to hear the birds. Loved the drone footage of the Church...the fog really added to it! So happy that you have some support for your channel! I enjoyed the walk, was nice to see Dave as well! Thank you so much for sharing. Please give Mika a cuddle for me💖 Take really good care of yourselves! Stay well, be safe! Much love Kathy x
Such a quit and calming ambience to this place, especially the church, its surreal to think its so close yet so far from an industrial estate and main road in and out of Shrewsbury. The shop and zoo are brilliant too, I've spent many a hot summers day in the café with gorgeous views of the Wrekin. I love your content, I live a 10 minute walk from here and its fun watching the local haunts on TH-cam!
Thanks Josh 👍 I agree with everything you said. It's only in these current times that I've really started to explore more of Shrewsbury and I'm thankful I have done 😊. Plenty more adventures to come
Both my parents are buried in that graveyard, in fact at 5.38 I can see their marker stone over your right shoulder. I live just across the rail line from Battlefield farm shop. In fact before the battle the cheeky buggers were camped in my garden!!!!! (At least some of them were).
I visited the Battlefield farm shop (took a pic of the wonderful cheese counter!) & had lunch at the cafe in 2017. Also visited the Battlefield Falconry Centre which was brilliant. Tks again Brendan for a fab video. Lks pretty foggy & damp! Cheers from Auckland NZ.
Thousands of men battling it out to the death in that field.... fast forward to 2021 and you pair are prancing around the outside to avoid a couple of inches of water. 🤣 Can’t help but laugh. Some great history. Love an old church, pretty remarkable really. I feel we all too often take our awesome history in the UK for granted. I know I do.
😂😂 I'm not sure they had waterproofs in that battle lol. All adds to the fun. I agree, sometimes it's all too easily forgotten and I actually enjoyed reading up about some local history. Beautiful place to visit. Cheers for the comment Chris 👍
My favourite video haha 😄 gave me a smile on my lunch break. It was nice to see the Battlefield area, never been to see it in person. Thanks for braving the mud 😆
I lived up Harlescott in the 60s and I used to go up to Battlefield church in the summer months in the school holidays that’s when the church was open them days. It’s a lovely church inside all the walls inside had shields on them from the battle of Shrewsbury I’m not sure they are the original shields. I was also told there is a mass grave underneath the church.
It really is a beautiful church and I've heard you can get the key from the farm shop. I might do that when it's a bit safer. Thanks for watching and leaving a comment 😊👍
Great video chap, some memorable 'wet' moments in there. Link in the description to the boots ladies and gents 👢💪 can't believe we did 12 mile that day 🙄🙄🤣🤣
Lovely walk in the summer and church amazing. Try Dothill Nature Reserve it has a lovely lake with swans and lots of other birds. Park on Tee Lake Boulevard which is the nearest place to park next to the lake. You can complete the 50 tree walk. That would put your boots to work!
@@BrendanExplores yes, it is "nortern capital". Very civilized. But to see a country as one writer said you must see "a cemetery and a market". 🙂 but St.Petetsburg is yes, great to see. But not only🙂
