  • This video highlights the Pacific impact stories from fellows who joined the second phase of the Australia Awards Fellowship on Advancing Climate, Health, & Equity Outcomes through Local Action in the Indo-Pacific in March 2024 in Apia, Samoa.
This further demonstrates the strong partnership between the Pacific Climate Change Centre (PCCC), hosted at SPREP, and the University of Melbourne in finding locally-led, tailor made (climate) solutions for the Pacific Islands region.
The PCCC and the University of Melbourne were the successful recipients of the Australia Awards Fellowship to bring together health and climate change practitioners from across the Indo-Pacific for a 6-week intensive residency at the University in November 2023 to further unpack these complex topics and measures to address them. Fellows were then brought to the PCCC, hosted at SPREP in Apia, Samoa, in March 2024 for a second phase of this important fellowship.
