J.... I enjoyed how through the use of ingenuity you found ways to improve your ability to enjoy time on the water.....There is always a work around to rig up a water craft to meet a persons needs....Sea Ya!!😎
I was organizing our garage and came across a new rudder from our Vibe SeaGhost 110 that I no longer need ( sold the Kayak). I believe it is the same as on your SeaGhost. If you can use it, I would be happy to send it to you. My wife and I enjoy watching your TH-cams. Charlie
Thank you Charlie. I certainly appreciate your offer, but I saved the rudder I removed from my Vibe after installing the trolling motor. Thanks for the comment.
@@JAllredFishing Sorry to hear. I hope you heal quick. I've been fishing the local reservoir. Not much success. Using my super-duper big screen TV and I still can't seem to find those pesky fish.
The previous Newport 46 lb thrust was a bit heavier and had more torque, resulting in bent through bolt on the previous mount. This mount is a copy of a mount sold by OneObjective. It is much more solid than the old mount. The only negative is that I had to mount the steering lines lower resulting in my foot pedals being pulled back further when I tilt the motor. Thanks for the view.
Some thinking and man can come up with being able to do what he wants, the easiest way to do what he wants. A friend in Missouri made his steerable with PVC pipe, not even tilt/trim, that he kept breaking while loading/unloading. Seems if it's sticking out it tends to get bumped.
@@JAllredFishing What he thought works for him-doesn't. Just told me Friday he'd broken it again at Truman Lake. We talk most weekday mornings, I'll tell him about yours so he can watch it.

Thanks Wes, I’ve certainly seen your ingenuity with setting up your boat to fish that skinny water by yourself.

12v pistons/pulleys/s.s.cable mounted on back to control turning and hoist, controlled with switches at seat. Compact, clean, easy, less material...
What a great solution!
Thanks, but you are still the king of kayaking hacks.
@@JAllredFishing lol!
I like your setup.
Thanks Andrew.
Nicely engineered. Have you been able to fish?
Thanks Ray. No, my back went from bad to really bad. It may be a while.

That trolling motor mount is different than the one in your other video. Curious why you changed it and I’d you like this one better.

That is part of the fun, figuring out what works for you. Thanks for watching.
