heck i got mine for free.. work for a apartment complex for students.. this was being tossed in the trash.. looks brand new.. and works great.. sometimes you just get lucky.. it's a core i5 11th gen with 16GB ram.. put a new NvME SSD and it's like new..
I bought this exact same laptop for myself recently on Amazon for $600 but I got the 32GB model since I knew the ram was not upgradable. I don't regret it at all! It has been very good for my needs. I do audio recording/editing, music production. And I like to play fortnite with my son. It does both very well. I was amazed I could get such a capable laptop for $600.

I picked up a 7420 with 12th Gen i7 for £480 here in the UK and will pocket whatever is left when the gaming laptop sells. I am now trying to get a U2422HE monitor which has a built in USB-C hub for a neat setup in my home office.
I read about some fan problems with newer BIOS Versions, that they`re super loud, even with low workload and temps, did you do a bios Update and have no fan issues? Would be a dealbreaker for a realy cool looking laptop.
I bought a Latitude E7470 in 2017 when it was a year old for $600, it's got me through college and helped me start my career. I'm actually typing on it now and it's still going strong. I'm a bit disappointed at the build quality on the new E7420, the way the top cover moves, and how the ram can't be upgraded basically means I'll be sticking with the E7470 a bit longer. I bet I can get a couple more years out of it.
I've installed in my 7480 the mainboard from 7490, and got 2 additional cores. I would actually prefer change it to 7420 mainboard and got 50% more performance per core, sadly - they are not compatible. The main thing I like my 7480/7490 is it's keyboard, looks like 7420 lacking in it, not only in typing expirience, but also in size and position of arrow keys. So.. sadly my next laptop will be thinkpad, not dell.

I also lost, but losing doesn't matter if you also win. My favorite cereal is actually not cereal, it's oatmeal. I learned how to pour sugar on my oatmeal by watching Scarface. I do not endorse learning how to do anything by watching Scarface. I haven't slept for 3 days.
I have the Asus G14 2020, RTX 2060. I just bought this Dell to replace it cos the Asus gets too hot for a portable PC. PS: I got the Asus since late 2020
For 4K editing you'l need 32GB of memory. Other than that, the editing process will have to be done in 1080p (and lower if adding color correction or other effects), and the exporting process will be ridiculously slow.
I have a hard time putting up with things that come with imperfections. Bumps on laptops, screens with dead pixels, women that wear underwear to the gym and cry about men gawking at them... all terrible.
i still own the 7420's little baby brother the 2100 and i am actually using it to type this it sadly cant handle much of anything but for reading news and playing sd 720p movies it still works fine

Got this used for 500 Canadian and it's baffling how good of a value it is

Ah I'll stick with the "ancient" 7400. At least it has physical buttons and ram slots and not that much slower depsite the age.

My work Latitude 7420 i5 is not touch screen, but is still an Evo laptop. It's not about the touch screen.

For something like a Kensington lock. It's like a bike lock, but for laptops.
