A very welcome step by government to bring in FDI. As retrospective effect in law reflects volatility in Government policies which is something that a Investor does not look forward to.

It will be very difficult for Vodafone Idea to continue as the AGR dues are much against their revenue, which is 51400 crore. Accepting the staggered payment over 10 years might not be worthy if the revenue does not support it over that period.
Jio is the master player i.e cash-rich company which can easily turn up the situation anytime. Also supporting Rcom to stay.
I think diversification by Vodafone idea could help them for generating revenue like reliance which has revenue streams from multiple businesses.
Multiple players must be there to stop the monopoly.

A very welcome move by the GOI and I think VI should exist in the telecommunication industry otherwise there would be a havoc in the country because it will lead to monopoly and they will charge any price from the customer and thanks to you sir for great explanation. 🙏
There should be 3rd player in telecom sector. But it is NOT possible until & unless govt waive pending AGR dues because VI has 2 lakh crore liabilities and VI is burning cash and it is not possible to survive in such situation.
Issues raised by CA Kumar birla sir are absolutely relevant.
Government should consider these points.
And of course excellently explained by CA BB sir.

I totally agree with Kumar Birla sir bcz after Vodafone there will be 2network Airtel and Jio.& Obviously it will be a situation of monopoly.For a common people it's too difficult for recharge every month.Govt should look at this matter so that everyone can use a mobile phn.
Govt is promoting jio and certainly want to bring one nation one network in future....it's BJP after all and it's allies partner ambani

My take: There should be three players in telecom market.If vi is not able to sustain it can affect price as well as quality of service in telecom sector.

Vodafone Idea to hona chahiye aur mujhe lagta hai ki India 🇮🇳 Government ne pehle galat kiya 2012 me kyuki isse India ki reputation bhi kharab ho rahi thi aur Supreme Court ke decision ko bhi override kar diya Pranab Mukherjee ji ne but Nirmala Sitharaman ji ab sahi kar rahi hai kyuki foreign investors tabhi aayenge jab unko bhi thoda tax se free ho aur Indians ko employment milega agar Foreign Companies India 🇮🇳 me investment karegi to aur rahi baat Telecom players ki to mujhe lagta hai ki 4 telecom players to hone chahiye jaise Jio, Airtel, Vodafone Idea & Tata Docomo...thank you BB sir
