One of the many things I like about PAD is that there is never anyone shouting at you while saying what they want to say.
The calmness is a strength.
It's not that anyone lacks passion, but it's nice to have people shouting it the entire time.
Also, been adamant about big nickel being our pontential base D since training camp, and am so excited to see it manifest itself!
Can’t stop the run with that. Look at the cowboys last year. We were able to run all over them and we weren’t a strong running team then
@@abhigadangi6929 obviously you can swap out a player or two if you get run heavy looks, but you can definitely stop runs in big nickel if 2 of the 3 safeties are in the box and identify the run early. Also, linebacker play is more so what needs to be better to stop the run in my opinion.
@@abhigadangi6929yes you can. Big nickel is better at stopping the run than base nickel or dime simply because of the body types on the field
@@mosthatedminnesotan are you thinking of sub? Because they’ve been running nickel all year.
I’m just so pumped about McKinney. Unbelievable. We need thumpers like Patrick Queen/Fred Warner/R. Smith.
Evan Williams knocked down crucial passes, great instincts
@@Batboy_idiot - Williams is a natural baller on D and should be out there covering TEs
Hot Take, Cooper needs to be ILB1 solely so Quay can be utilized better as a weapon.
They both should play WLB, that’s where their strengths are. They don’t really have a true MLB right now. Best case is to have both on the field and have them take turns at attacking the line.
@JerC-h3q plus we have hopper as a big potential piece
@@ThreadMuzikConcepts unfortunately McDuffie is ahead of him
I don’t disagree.. Quay isn’t playing very well. Looks lost way too often.
THE ANSWER IS A RESOUNDING YES!
The Packers came into the game averaging 9 explosive plays per game. On Sunday they only got 3 in 59 snaps, but that was enough
Idk how you keep Williams off the field after this week. I thought he looked incredible
Williams > Bullard
Didn't think they would be some HBK references in this video lol
Nah can't be. I remember all these draft experts, and alot of packer fans for that matter, calling Williams a bum and such a massive reach it was worth firing Gutey over. My how things change in such a short time
Every year. Its the wack pack fans
He was dealing while at the senior bowl. That film alone showed he has cover skills that wasn’t highlighted in his Oregon tape.
A comment just to help with the algorithm.
Yes, it is definitely time!!
Think about last year and how our safeties were targeted and abused weekly. Now we just need the front seven and the corners to step up more often. There's definitely a formula Hafley is trying to implement. The second halves of each game they have really adjusted well. We just need to play better in the first half. I see it coming along but the d-line really need to get it going.
I’d like to see Williams play in the post with x rotating to box to trick Kyler into thinking the middle of the field is safe but Williams will let him know it’s not
McKinney for DPOY, the campaign starts now!
He’s DPOY
Ja - Bull - Valentine as CB, Slot, CB
Whiskey (Evan Williams) - X as safeties
I like the HBK reference. GPG
We need to keep in mind the roster for the Rams game was set up because Ja was injured. The Rams were also facing critical injuries with kupp/Nacua being out and effectively limiting how much the Rams could stretch the defense. This called for a heavier sub package that would have definitely been a liability Had those two receivers been healthy and Alexander out
McKinney has Charles Woodson type instincts.
If Evan Williams is now a full time starter if that means no Nixon on the field to have Javon on the field is fine with me Nixon has been below average on defense for the most part of his entire career I also think the slot is Bullard best position
Need to have a spy on Murray, Cooper? Williams? Bullard?
The Rams are second youngest team in the league.
Williams and Cooper do need to play a lot more, especially to blitz the QB.
Love needs to improve in his pass completion accuracy as he ranks 30th out of 32 QBs at only 56.1%. That’s a real concern when the top QB is a rookie QB at 77% - 20 points higher.
Stats don't tell everything. The first game he played was on a terrible field were everyone was dropping things and slipping all the time. The 2nd game was him knocking off rust. 3rd game just had a lot of drops as well, can't really agree with that stat since it feels out of context and cherry picked
@@Asynurr - At this point, in real time facts, Love the 3rd worst QB at a pass completion of 56.1%. That’s not cherry picked stats. You just gave three bogus excuses why his play is so poor so far. A poor field, rust and drops. The field was poor for both teams. Why would being rusty be a factor two weeks off when Flacco comes to play in games from his couch and now as backup and throws over 300 yards and completes over 70% of his passes? And on the drops excuse, every team has drops by receivers. If you can’t see Love has been off on his accuracy to his receivers so far then you are not paying close attention.
He can and needs to be more accurate and get his feet set properly on passes in the next game or this offense will continue to struggle. Did you notice versus the Rams that he had two offensive drives opportunities in the 4th quarter - that if he kept moving the chains he can seal the victory easily. Instead on third and 7 he throws thirty yards downfield with a contested pass instead of just getting a first down by completing a ten yard pass to Kraft? Then they turn the ball over twice to leave it up to the Defense to win the game. As a top paid QB he’s has to sustain drives late in the game by playing smart at QB and maintaining possession to run out the clock. I think he will get better but right now 29 QBs are playing better than he is. As is Malik Willis…by far.
@@petervaichus6978 lmao.
I want to compliment complimentary football.
We just need a pass rush
We also cannot consistently stop the run. Without these ingredients then if we make it to the playoffs then we lose in the wildcard round like we did to Dallas last year.
Jeff the Chef cooking a QB near you
Great show, as always!!
Yes
We dont owe the giants shhht they beat us what the last 2-3 times we played them, so i say we're even
They were trying to cripple Tucker Kraft. Rolling on his head and neck after the play was over.
Evan is our new Micah
Unfortunately for this defense, all the X upside is balanced out by the Gary downside
Is it me or are the amount of ads skyrocketing?
I haven't changed anything but I can't guarantee how TH-cam changes their ad settings. But I've always done the same thing since day one.
@@PackADayPodcast Yeah, I have noticed that throughout YT. 👍🏽👍🏽
Williams is better than Bullard
Cooper over Walker any day!
Why
Rams had won 5 of the last 6 home games the packers had to earn that win
Number 7 plays center field. My Grand ma has better instincts.
Andy, I give a dislike just to help the algorithm. Better for you if all clicks aren’t likes.
I think we’re asking both Evan Williams and Edgerrin Cooper to do way more than they did in college. Both players were mostly off ball linebackers. Sure, there were some times they were in coverage, but they also knew they were in coverage. They didn’t have to make the split decision of getting down hill or out in coverage. Both players have tremendous talent to be great linebackers. Both players need to be used as such and we need a true on ball linebacker. I’m not saying Edgerrin Cooper can’t develop into a player capable of both. Quay Walker at this point doesn’t seem like he’ll turn into that guy, but he still has value. But Quay Walker was never the on ball linebacker on that 2021 Georgia defense. And Edgerrin Cooper wasn’t an on ball linebacker primarily either. The sooner we just use them as off ball linebackers and just attack downhill or sideline to sideline, those 2 players will jump off the screen to everyone. Go Pack Go 💚💚💛💛
What a reject 😂 calling Evan Williams a linebacker tells me all I need to know about you, kid.
We need to get a solid cb Alexander is a disappointment
That's what your mother said the day you were born.
McKinney has Charles Woodson type instincts.
He’s better than Woodson
