Feng Min's lore has FINALLY gotten a Tome! And she's desperately needed a good one, so I'm glad to report Tome 17 has done her justice spectacularly... so let's talk about it!

As someone who has been in a car crash due to over working and drank him self into comas to get away from everyone I can't believe they made me relate to her so much. Also I heard that saw x reference
I'm so glad she got a really good story.
It really goes hand in hand to why she's described as one of the people who seem to somewhat view the trials more positively than the others. (Jake and Yun-Jin being some other examples for various different reasons)
Her life being in a shambles and that constant desire that she wishes that she could just start over again it really aligns with all the lore bits we got from her previously.
1. She's in this messed up game but even if she fails she gets to start over and potentially succeed.
She finally has a chance to succeed against all odds and even if she does lose everything gets reset and she could try again.
2. Her cold near obsessive Focus in the trials that was was described in the Benedict Baker journal entry about her.
She's in a situation where she can't lose focus again not like in the car crash so even diverting her attention to help someone injured is out of the question, regardless on whether or not there was any risk in helping them.
As you said it definitely shows that the former way of doing the tomes was better. I do really want to see what they got in store for Sable ( because I love her and all her cringe) but I think it's definitely best for them to know what they want to do with her rather than rushing it out

The fact that artist is getting a tome is making me incredibly excited, not only for the new cosmetic she will get but also that BHVR gets a chance to fix the trainwreck of her lore
It's not a train wreck at all. Just like her aesthetic, her lore is meant to be overly tragic. Crows, black ink, shes an artist that paints grim things. The overly dramatic backstory was the perfect fit for this character
@prevaileternal6932 That's fair, but I believe she's fairly weaker when it comes to lore because of the overly tragic elements. It reads more like an edgy fanfic than anything else where she's basically a punching bag in her own story. Her aesthetic is amazing, don't get me wrong, but her story just doesn't click with me
I am so glad that BHVR didn’t make the same mistakes they did when writing Spirit’s tome.
Feng and Nea were both exceptionally popular even before the cosmetics shop released, and only grew in power/popularity from there

This tome did saved Feng because we knew little about her and now that we know the truth about her story. A lot of people can relate to the alcoholism and the effects of car accidents. 😢

Thank you for this. I did not care one bit about Min until this tome came out. It basically transformed my view of her and made her one of my favorite characters in the game.
I hope they can undo the torture prawn wringer they put Carmina through in her original stories. Cause girl.
I know her lore is serious, but the car crash jokes that came from it were so good 😭😭
(also Yeye is pronounced more like "yuh-yuh", an 'e' in mandarin is more like 'uh' in english, just as a rule. But also who expects ppl to just get pronunciations right first try

I love the lore and am looking forward to the next time, I just wish it wasn’t such a pain in the ass to unlock. Here’s to hoping they make Tome challenges less brutal in the future.

Ngl i enjoy the lore of her but not her playerbase as i am well a killer main and seeing a feng in the lobby kinda puts me on high alert, bullysquads ect
I swear Fengs are the chimpanzees of DBD players… minus the violent tendencies. You have absolutely no idea whether they’re going to be good, bad, godlike, bullies, etc.

I dunno. The tome kinda just made her out to be a careless idiot who killed all her friends and made me hate her even more than I already did. Do people actually like this?
She wasn’t careless, she cared a lot. A lot of protagonists are directly or indirectly responsible for friends deaths. If anything, it shows her in a much different light. Fengs are usually categorized as selfish and not being team players but Feng cared a lot about her team which made what happened even worse. Even if she survives a trial, all she’ll be able to think about is the people she failed to save like her teammates.
Feng is not a a cold-hearted idiot. People hate Feng for little reasons other than her being popular. She became an alcoholic after the accident. Not all Fengs are toxic. I met some who took hits for me and do saves. All survivors have their flaws. Some did a whole lot worse things than Feng ❤
