I've never seen anything quite like this. Congratulations to Tamara for taking this from an idea to reality. I can tell this girl is just getting started.
@CovaConcepts I agree. I used to draw pictures of things, then build them. Now I just build them and take a photo. I made a glider you might appreciate. There are a few short vids of it flying on my channel. It's a twin boom blended wing manta. Theres also a Ballista designed to look like a scorpion that shoots solid half inch fiberglass bolts(arrows) real far. I am a big fan of Tadpole configuration trikes. I think they would make great race cars.
@CovaConcepts To improve your chances, just make sure where Batman would sit. I suggest adding a cockpit/canopy, maybe where the antenna is located. The duct appears to be open enough for a streamline canopy. By the way, coolest design ever! 👍 ( I'm not a boat guy though, as there are no lakes or ponds around my hometown, but this thing rocks!!!)
That is completely impressive given that the propulsion is a EDF and at that it gets up on plane relatively easy and does not need to maintain a high rate of speed to remain there. Very impressive 👍👍👍
@@nealstarling5422 thank you! Once it transitions (~35% throttle) you can throttle back to around 20% and it will sustain the plane! I really wanted it to be fun even in a small pond
absolutely brilliant, what a superb bit of kit, well done to Tamara for her incredibly innovative creation it deserves to be ultra successful, and its not made in "bloody China" for a change, well done. Perhaps the addition of a small jet turbine, food for thought.
Nah. I really do miss the good ole days, when women just stayed home, looked after the kids and baked the cakes! 😜😂😂 This takes me back all those years to when a sister of 1 of our schoolmasters turned up at our large country school for a few days. Begrudgingly allowed to horn in on our usual lunch-time chess games, she proceeded to comprehensively whup my Dux-of-the-School butt (and all other comers!) 😱😒 Learned a valuable life lesson that day! No country can expect to really prosper if they are only taking advantage of half of ALL their available assets. (Especially intellectual!) Delightful young lady there! The whole package! 😉😊
She's already a millionaire and don't even know it, I see a large RC manufacturer buying this design from her and making it available to the rest of us, nice job.
@@havocmydimension1354 thanks! In terms of the steering, I tried an air rudder but it's completely ineffective at low speeds, and has to be huge to have enough effect at high speeds which ruins the look
a liitle birdy whispers in my head she says. i feel like it wants to be runn in reverse design. i bet she would squeal in the corner cuts and drive it home like fine wine bsolutely beautiful and feirce design none the less. godd job i see a full size design in your future.
Just a awesome piece of engineering young lady I hope you get a patent on that thing and make a ton of money selling either kits or plans to make one ourselves cuz I can see somebody trying to make a full-size version of this thing now❤😂😊
I don't know aquaplanes well but to make my hydroplane airboat (RC) go fast I had to put a bulge directly behind the fan to make down force to keep the aft planted to counter act the lift from the increasing effective density of the water.
Hi Tamara, I see you went with water rudder. Is there a reason for this instead of an air rudder like on air boats here in the USA? Did you try air born ridder and it didn't work? I'm just a thinker and can see this rig with 3 or 4 short rudders in the air flow. Great Idea, Awesome craftmanship.
I notice you don't use full throttle when turning medium to sharp turns. Is it unstable under these conditions? and how does it run when there is some chop in the water? it's a bit pricey for what it is.
I'd buy the 3D model with some drawings for assembly for self build with a 3D printer. That's common for planes and there is probably a market for boats as well.
That would be giving away years of design work and intellectual property. Nobody who has put in that much effort would do that just so someone else could productionise it and make a lot of money.
@EssentialRC Years sounds a bit much. You could say the same for plane models and such. What's for sure: it'll take a few weeks for someone to make something similar and with an original it'll take just a scanner. I'm not threatening, just stating the facts. Good is that usually people don't share the models that they bought in this niche market. Try first only selling the built model, however some will never buy the pre built and only consider buying the plan. Can't tell you the market size of either options. You may ask Eclipson to get an idea as you aren't competing.
Drop big stone to water for get waves, what may be happened with model? Drop to fly and crash. No have horizontal stab and rq sensors. But model really hi experience and fantastic look. Try rebuild with fire jet turbo engine. Good Jobe for beginner!
Same as with all hydro foil boats including full size. They have operating restrictions. Not good for big waves but then neither would most other fast RC boats.

Nice to see something new. I can see this boat spawning a whole new generation of watercraft. Well done young lady!
Awesome to see new innovations in RC and that too from young people.
Couldn't agree more!
super impressive design and concept, great work. Hats off to Tamara.

Wonderful design. Patent it ! Great work.
What an interesting design. It seems to really work quite well. Thank you so much for showing. Great camera work as always.

Exceptionally. It really does drive well on the water and there's not a lot touching the surface. Excited to see what Tamara does next with it.

No. Same power on a prop would be more efficient, smaller, less profile area. .... it is fun but not practical
Very cool concept, I'll be looking forward to further iterations
So cool respect to her

Where is the fish food delivery bay?
Would be interesting to see what is the limit speedwise 😃 I think it could run a little bit faster.
With a hotter 70mm EDF system and the slightly modified wings Tamara was talking about I think it could be exceptionally quick.
Add tiny wings so that it can fly in the air a few inches😊
I notice you don't use full throttle when turning medium to sharp turns. Is it unstable under these conditions? and how does it run when there is some chop in the water? it's a bit pricey for what it is.
Kinda normal to lift off the gas when cornering isn't it ?! That's what I do instinctively with any surface vehicle unless I'm oversteering.
@@EssentialRC That is not what I was asking, and no, EVERYONE buys RC toys to thrash around and have fun with.

Looks like something Batman would use
