A special and very touching episode. I'm sorry to hear about your brother, but I'm sure he would have loved this episode. Thank you so much for sharing it with us. Take care of yourself in these difficult times.
God bless your soul, Julian. May you rest in peace. Sir, I'm so sorry for your loss. Thank you for that beautiful piece of Shakespeare which you read so well.
So sorry to hear of the loss of your brother Julien. Truly touching to see you visit a place so special to both of you. I am an American fan who cherishes your wit, your heartfelt narrative, and your true love of the Cotswolds--I feel I am with you in every village journey. Thanks for sharing this with us and please keep the stories coming!
I discovered your channel a year ago, and as I am not from UK ,I enjoy it greatly. I visited UK several times, Devon,Yorkshire and London but I am never tired of it unique charm, natural beauty and old architecture. Thank you all the more so as you take us to the old villages and churches of Cotsworlds, places of history and memory .And literature has preserved it all !
No forgiveness needed to be asked and none required to be given. It was wonderful hearing about your brother! These things, in addition to the breathtaking scenery you provide us each episode, endear me even more to this awesome channel. Thank you for allowing us a small insight into this special memory of your brother. It saddens me greatly to see a country so full of the most beautiful, historical and assessable churches in the world to have majoritively turned away from Christ and life as believers. May the Lord have mercy and grace on us all! Thank you again Robin!
I can see this is a place of profound peace. Thank you for the lovely light of memories you shine over it, and for sharing your brother, and some beautifully-spoken Shakespeare with us. If you put out more poetry-reading content, as well as your spooky prose, we listeners should be most lucky.
Incredible. Thank you Robert. Although I am an American melting pot, I have long felt the pull of my Welsh/English roots. Your channel is absolutely superb!
We absolutely love your channel Robert. Myself, husband and son follow in your footsteps. Last week we discovered Oddington. My son is a Historian, specializing in Ancient and Medieval history. So to see the wall paintings were a real treat. Stanton is next ❤️🌿.
So relaxing to watch. I don’t know why this popped up but I am very glad it did. Your voice is made for this type of work and make’s it 100% easy to watch. Thank you.
Lovely as the tribute to your late brother was, I wish you had added a couple of minutes before that to describe the house sat next to the chapel, and give its history, if known. Not huge, or grand, it is a perfectly proportioned (Manor?) house that caught my eye, and ignited my imagination.
What a beautiful place and a beautiful tribute to your brother. Sincere condolences on his loss and thank you so much for sharing the Cotswolds on your journeys.
Hello Robin and Greetings from the rainforest of the Pacific Northwest near Vancouver BC...We really enjoy your shows here...just wonderfully created and presented...Thank You and keep up the great work🫖🍵🌲
I'm so sorry to hear of your loss; you were both obviously very close. But thank you for yet another lovely & interesting video of this magical part of the country! 👍
Can't thank you enough for sharing these videos which are always so peaceful and informative. A wonderful opportunity to venture abroad from my armchair.
I worked in a gourmet market here in NYC, and discovered a cheddar cheese called Cotswolds. It was infused with onions and chives. Indescribably delicious. I would sometimes work in the cheese department and pass out samples of it and people went crazy for it. We Americans are used to cheap processed cheddar. It was fun to introduce them to the real thing and watch their reaction.
Touching eulogy to your brother in a beautiful setting. I lost my father in 2013 and it was a reminder to me of the stories he told me of riding his Lambretta to his favourite locations in Scotland, funnily enough he was a bassist in a skiffle band as well. Although some would like to point out our differences on this island, we really are all brothers.
Hello just discovered your channel after having been to Farmcote only this morning with a visiting friend. I have walked around there many times but on such a perfect late summer's day was struck anew by what a rare and profoundly peaceful place it is. The owner of the chilli nursery just beyond the church told us about the lost village on the slopes behind so it was once a bigger place, but always beautiful and remote.
Sorry to hear about your brother. I'm happy to watch your videos and learn the history about the places you go. I myself can't afford to go to any place so beautiful. I make do with videos such as yours. Hope you are well and thank you for always giving such beautiful and scenic and historic videos.
Amazing clips from beautifull England.. great sounds.. narator.. my English is not perfect.. but I recognized dedication to your Brother.. sad Story.. two questions, which Music is in back, a what is the name of Sheakspeare song? All the best from Montenegro, thanks Mr Robin
Dear Milos, i can answer one of your questions. the name of Shakespeare’s song is “Fear No More” from his play “Cymbeline”, it is about Cymbeline an ancient Celtic King of Britain also known as Cunobeline. The song in the play is a funeral song sung to the deceased. This song has been recorded and performed by Loreena Mckinnett on youtube. Her version has what i can only describe as an ancient “Celtic” and medieval sound, it is very sad and beautiful. Your question about the background music in the Farmcote video:I do not know. It may be listed in the credits at the end. I hope this helps a bit. Be Blessed this All Hallows Eve.🎃 from 🎃🇺🇸✝️🙏
TH-cam randomly brought me to your channel. Your voice is soothing like butter. You remind me of Dr Ruth but for the paranormal and history rather than sex. 😆
Farmcote is a tiny hamlet, difficult to find but well worth the amazing views - presented here for you all to enjoy!
What a beautiful tribute to your brother Julian. May he rest gently in peace and love.

Fantastic work Robin, I grew up and lived in the Wychwoods decades ago. The Cotswold Explorer does a wonderful job making me feel homesick.

Lovely tribute.
"What a beautiful place"!
Just wow !
What a treasure
I'm a direct descendent of the Stratfords of Farmcote. They were a noble family with royal roots.
Well done.
Robin have you read Wind in the Willows for You Tube?

Beautiful place for someone that wants to get away from it all. I could stand it for a while but I need to feel civilization about me.
I do really sorry for your brother. So touching video with Shakespeare's work. (
