- I drove the car and still no check engine light.
I got my cold air intake on Amazon for 86.00 keep in mind no instructions with this item. The item also don’t have a good bracket to hold the air intake in place. You’ll have to be creative with this.

Cleanest vic engine bay I've seen, this think is slick!
Thank you. I really cleaned it up. It was awful and dirty. I’m the type I like to see my engine. I hate it when I see a nice ride but engine bay is nasty.

The scion seats i may have to lean on those... I like how they look.... Cobra rims is a plus on this . Its coming along!

I did my Amazon intake (same kit in blue) about a year ago and still no check engine light. I think you are good.
Oh okay sweet. So I had a issue with my cat’s didn’t know which was clogged up so I deleted all four. I have a CEL now but this isn’t from the intake

Yeah that wouldn’t be good. They start complaining about it. But the last two honestly don’t think it would be that much louder. I did hear a difference when I did all four tho.
Be better off hooking that afternmarket tube up to the factory box
They probably got a small air intake and didn't tune the car
I see you used the small mounting bracket. I'm guessing you had to drill another hole in the bracket? My question is where you secured the bracket to the vehicle? TY in advance
I placed on the plastic wheel well it held up really well. That was the only place I had to go.
That is not cold air intake also all that red how much hp did it gain 😊

first off....for vics, 2005 to 2011....you have a electronic drive my wire throttle system.....which means......if you upgrade ANYTHING even just a cold air intake.....if you DO NOT do a retune on the ECU.....your upgrades will do close to zero if anything at all. lol 😆 🤣 😆 I'll use cold air intakes as an example again....those are designed to grab and condense more air....well.....if the ECU and the electronic throttle system isn't returned to tell it to accept the more dense air to then change the fuel spray and ignition timing......your fancy fast and furious cold air intake does NOTHING!!!! lol. if anything.....you just ruined MPG by 1 or 2 MPG lol 😆 😂 so to make it clear.....for 05 to 2011.....for EVERYTHING you add/change, you must to a different retune now to get its capability of the part you upgraded. or, you are just pissing money away.
What do you recommend to do a re-tune? A simple re-cal on the ECU using the battery cables, or an actual go to a tuner and get a re-tune?
Any modifications that been done as far as engine displacement and cam swap are always recommended to have a tuneup done. Taking it to a dyno shop and have it serviced will help you get the best possible results for your engine in the long run. You’ll appreciate it more
I think it is the newer, drive by wire cars that throw a wrench light.
I also heard about that on TH-cam video.
I have an 07 drive by wire vic that I converted to a cold air intake. I think the check engine light comes from not re-using the factory maf sensor. I kept my factory maf and have no cel after a couple months.
Still gotta build a box for it, though. The car feels/responds better, but the tuner shows a serious increase in intake air temp.
I have a CEL only because I have no cats

Hey dope video dog just straight piped my vic and got a tachometer but idk where the fuck the green wire goes because I can't find a diagram of the ignition module to know what wire ti hook it up to
BST Ford channel is doing the tachometer on his CrownVic. I believe check out his channel for information on how you can find the diagram for your vehicle

Yes very much so. The air flowing into the intake better than stock. You can actually hear the air sound when you open it up

What did you do with the bucket seats with the middle space that was left did you install a middle console because I seen a video where they put the middle console from a 2000 Ford expedition and a fit nicely and think about doing that to mine but I need to find the bucket seats first

Not true. I have mine over a year ago and it’s still in my car. No problem at all.
