I have always said you are the prettiest little thing I have ever seen. Always sweet, charming, forever smiling and so kind and helpful. Thank you for teaching the world about economical cooking my dear friend. Never stop being you. Your husband is the luckiest man in the world to have you as his wife. Keep safe. God bless you.
When making chicken in oven would have saved a step by adding the carrots and celery with a little water while baking the chicken. Along with chicken the carrots and celery would have added another layer of flavor to juices from chicken and after adding the rest of ingredients you have just needed to bake off to warm thru.
Life happens. U handles the situation of being stressed very well. Moving IS stressful. Selling and buying houses IS stressful. Great job. We all have to give ourselves some grace. I hope things r going well for u and ur family. Thank u for ur content!🙏🤗
Right...even on our regular monthly menu plan I only cook like half a month. Saturday’s I don’t cook,1-2 days a week it’s his dads turn (bc he thinks it’s so easy-usually ends up being takeout 😒),l do leftovers about 2ce a week. Then a couple times a month I’ll do days that are either ‘Any’-like cereal, ramen, freezer food, sandwiches, etc. or pizza/takeout.
Your doing a great job getting things put away. We all have those moments where we don’t think we can cope your a great wife and Mom. Blessing for your family in your new home.❤️❤️
Awwww. That hurt my heart and touched it at the same time! (Mom moment) I am watching during my own moment and really appreciate REAL! THANK YOU! March on.
I appreciate you being a real mom on camera too! We all have those mom moments and im about to be right there with you in the moving! I would love to see a video on your homemade sauce! I've been wanting to find a good recipe!
I would like to see the homemade spaghetti sauce. Give you SO much credit, packing, moving, & still filming! So much stress when moving, take care sweet girl.
Adding roasted pepper and eggplant to your homemade tomato sauce takes it to a whole new level. My family has been making it for decades in September when the produce of that type is cheaper.
Girl, my heart literally melted because I have been there many times and you are right we need to give ourselves grace. Especially, when our plates are full and over whelmed. I love your new home and congratulations.
Abby I want to hug you SOOO bad! Moving is one of the top stressors for people. Just being a mom should be up there too! I love how this was REAL real shelf cooking. No joke. You’re so relatable. You don’t hide the possible mistakes (although I never see any), you just show it as it is. That’s what makes you such a favorite. Your students and their parents must adore you. Congrats on the new house. Breathe.
Don’t worry that you couldn’t cook that night you were in your new house. Moving is the pits! We still saw how you made the meal. I like your videos because you keep it real. I only had one grandmother ( my mother was an orphan who worked a lot!) and grams lived about 40 miles away so I didn’t see her often. Neither one taught me how to cook so I’m forced to watch You Tube videos just to learn how to cook. I especially like your videos because you take inventory and cook from what you have. This has taught me a lot! I used to always say that if I couldn’t read, I’d starve. Now with your help, I can turn to more self-reliance. Thanks!
I wasn’t taught to cook either,& do the same with TH-cam and Pinterest. Plus I get panic/anxiety attacks when I cook from getting nervous & can’t ever remember anything so I have to read the recipe each step by step as I go along which doesn’t help. I’m starting small with mostly one pot meals, crockpot,&casseroles.
I’m a military wife and I shelf cook about two months out when we move. Also on big move days order something delivered it’s makes things a little easier. You did great.
Great Job Mom. Moving is hard, but moving with little kids is the hardest. We all need to allow ourselves some grace and a few easy meals while moving (or several days a week). Can't wait to see the videos in the new house, that kitchen is beautiful.
Abby, Thank You for being REAL💜🤗We all have had or still have "Mom Moments" & it's ABSOLUTELY 💯 GOOD TO Recognize & Take a breather! You are ABSOLUTELY AMAZING 💜💜💜 I've been trying to keep up with your videos 😉You're such a great Momma & Wife💜
So glad that you did not cook the night that you were overwhelmed, there are just times that you just can't, we all have to do what is best for us to get it all done with our sanity intact. I personally keep a few things in my freezer that I can pull out and throw on and get the job done really quick. This is real life and it does not always work the way that we want, keep taking care of yourself and showing real life, you are a great example to others.
I'm glad to see young people shelf cooking. Your new house looks so much bigger then your old house. Your new kitchen is so big. I bet your parents are very happy to have you living close to them again instead of across the state.I think it's was very good for you to show that as Mom's we want to do everything but we just can't sometimes. moving is stressful in its self!! and 3 kids and driving across the state and then cook dinner.... something had to go. good for you Abby!!
Your "mom moment" was so relatable. My kitchen is currently being renovated and the wreck in my house is so stressful. I felt like i was being overdramatic but its good to know I'm not alone!!!
Thank you for sharing. You will make new memories in your new home. Take a few days to relax and think about what you want to do. It will take time to get your house done.take a few minutes for yourself each day and just relax. I love Watching your videos. Congratulations on your new home.
Life happens Sweetie! Sometimes, for our sanity, a pizza 🍕 or quick take out NEEDS to be done. 😝 Thank you for that Real Mom Burnout Moment. It happens to the best of us. When your in and settled, would LOVE to see your homemade spaghetti sauce recipe. Congratulations to you and Trey on your new home.🍾🎉 Cheers to all the new memories that you both will have.
You put me on to butcher box. I love it. During the worst of pandemic I just had such a hard time going to the store. I love the meats and considering that groceries are so out of control now I can get a good variety of meats and the price is right. Love your new kitchen. God bless you guys and may He bless your new home.
Congratulations on your new Home, please relax, and it will take a little time to get used to your new home. We understand, take your time, we’ll watch anything…. lol…thank you and moving is hard no matter how others make seam so easy 🌷🌸💓🌻
Oh yes I hear ya!!! I am shelf cooking too!!! Need to save some money to pay off debts ♥️ Ahhh I have those moments!!! I always feel horrible… I am glad I am not the only one!! Solidarity friend!! 🙌

I loved this video, you have such creative ideas! Thank you for sharing your hard moment as well. That was so relatable, being a parent is hard sometimes!
Thank you for these types of videos. I meal plan weekly now, grocery shop once a week. And make sure I check my home before I go to the store to see if I already have what's on my list. We have a family of 4 and 1 adult dog and 1 puppy. So we set our monthly budget for food , household, and fur baby needs to 500 a month. Also 50 to 75 of that 500 is used to stock up on thing we need for our 3 month rotating pantry. We are trying to get up to 6 months but it's a slow process. Thank you again for the inspiration.
I’m so sorry you are so overwhelmed, but thank you for making it real (I mean showing that we all have hard days and as some mum channels show everything is ALWAYS perfect) and that shows us that we are not alone and as you say it’s OK to feed your family “chicken nuggets” so as a mum I thank you so much for that. I wish the best for you in your move 😀
I hope that your new home brings you many happy memories. Hang in there and give yourself a break from time to time. Thank you for sharing your recipes and your beautiful family. God bless
I was too young to remember (almost 3) but my parents did that & have told us that my older sister was upset we didn’t have a thanksgiving meal only sandwiches.
So excited you choose not to cook, hash brown night:) !! I was thinking girl give yourself a break!!! 💗💗💗 Also how glad you but in the video for us others Moms/woman to say it’s ok!!
Hey Abby that's OK --Don't worry about cooking right off the bat----We Understand :) I know its a lot but it does get better with time !!! I'll keep watching all the amazing things you cook and do :) :) :)
Yess need recipe for sauce lol and I give you a bunch of credit because when I was moving I ordered out a lot so the fact that you're putting the energy in to cooking....wows me! It's like when it's time to move you look around your house and you're like oh it's not much but when you actually pack and look in the nook and crannies junk drawers etc... Oh yeah lol
Thank you for showing us the real moments too! Love your channel & you for keeping it real! 💙💙💙 Sending you all the love, especially when you feel overwhelmed 💙
Never feel bad about being a real person. Everyone has a moment where they just can't. Anyone says they don't is a liar...good for you listening to yourself.
Hope you’re getting settled in the new house. Moving isn’t my favorite thing. I’m not doing this again!!! Thanks for the shelf recipes. Very good video!
I agree,I’m trying to get rid of 50-75% of stuff before I move. I’ll be doing it at least twice. Once when I’m able to leave this relationship & probably once more after my son graduates high school.
Thanks for being a real mom who knows when to say ok, this plan isn't working. You made my mom guilt from years ago, almost just melt away. We can't always be all things to all people. Banana Bread sounds good. I take Apples slice and core and put them in a Skillet with a bit of Butter, Saute a bit and put some Cinnamon and a Tablespoon or 2 or 3 of Brown Sugar, depends on how much Cinnamon and Brown Sugar you like or us Granulated Sugar or Maple Syrup. Nice side dish or Dessert.
I came from frugal fit mom, just looked at your videos and instantly subscribed! You hit on stuff I definitely need help with so thanks for making videos on stuff like this ❤️
There is a bacon tray that you can use in the microwave to cook bacon in. Just cover the bacon with paper towels for no splatter. The tray has built up ridges so the bacon will drain and not sit in the grease. It drains into an area then can be poured out or saved in a container in your fridge. I like the idea of using cream cheese instead of Mayo in the chicken salad. I haven’t tried that yet. My daughter is allergic to eggs, so I am always looking for alternatives.
Thank you for showing people how to shelf shop, some times we don't realize the best store is the one we made at home.

Helps to stretch your cream soups...
Just a jazzy little tip

Whenever you don’t have an egg for recipe just substitute with a tablespoon of mayonnaise!
All mayonnaise is is eggs n oil!
There’s a Hellman’s Mayo burger recipe. Delicious & no eggs!
Or make a flax seed egg

I love spaghetti in the instant pot. Because of the pressure cooking the flavors go into the pasta and it tastes even better!!
I love watching you shelf cook. It encourages me to do the same!!

Never feel bad about being a real person. Everyone has a moment where they just can't. Anyone says they don't is a liar...good for you listening to yourself.
Thanks as always for the video! Please rest as much as you can! You're doing a great job!
Hope you’re getting settled in the new house. Moving isn’t my favorite thing. I’m not doing this again!!! Thanks for the shelf recipes. Very good video!
You are welcome :)
I know you're exhausted. Moving is just a major life event. I wish I'd listened to my inner mom voice so many times when it would have been better for all of us.
I love watching your videos. I learned to make spaghetti in the IP from you and it's an easy meal. We love it fixed that way. Your home is beautiful. I'm looking forward to seeing how you make your new home into Abby's. ❤🙂💞
Hang in there! It’s hard moving. I’d like the homemade ss recipe too. TYFS!
Yum. I'd throw a cake batter in top and bake it for an apple cinnamon upside down cake! Double yum!!
I would like to see your spaghetti sauce recipe, when you have time!! 😉
I came from frugal fit mom, just looked at your videos and instantly subscribed! You hit on stuff I definitely need help with so thanks for making videos on stuff like this ❤️
i would love your to see how you make your homemade tomatoe sauce
There is a bacon tray that you can use in the microwave to cook bacon in. Just cover the bacon with paper towels for no splatter. The tray has built up ridges so the bacon will drain and not sit in the grease. It drains into an area then can be poured out or saved in a container in your fridge. It’s time like these that it comes in real handy. You just wipe it out and put in the dishwasher! 😊
Ms. Abby you have been such an inspiration to me for the longest but now I feel you have gravitated towards deals and money opportunities. I wish you would get back to the beginning where you just wanted to be helpful.
Great meal planning... I love those plates, gorgeous 🍽
I would NEVER have been able to cook that day, either. Just get out the cereal bowls! :) And congrats on your new home.
Abby I would have went to whataburger on my way out of Belton. Less stressful
I love your channel and I appreciated the REAL moment! Your new house is going to be so nice for your family. Enjoy the small moments, even when it’s crazy! 🌺🌷💕
We’d love to see your spaghetti sauce recipe!! Love your channel!!
Yes please video on homemade sauce
A suggestion when you move do a major grocery shop and stock your pantry 🥰
Love your content!!!
why thank you!
You are just so real! It’s nice to have youtube content creators that are so transparent! Keep up the great work! :)
Thanks for being trueful as we all have bad days and your not protecting to be prefect x
To make the chicken salad go further- you can put egg in it! I always do 2-3 boiled eggs per can of chicken. 😊
oh good idea! kind of like an egg salad
Yes!
You can also chop up lettuce and dice a tomato and mix them into chicken or tuna salad to stretch it. I like it better that way than building the sandwich with layered slices over the meat/fish mayo mix. Its moister.
I like the idea of using cream cheese instead of Mayo in the chicken salad. I haven’t tried that yet. My daughter is allergic to eggs, so I am always looking for alternatives.
