This game is so fun and “high stakes high reward” is 100% true for gameplay unlike some FPS games. The heart ache of losing a hunter and equipment vs. extracting a bounty and getting a ton of rewards AND keeping the hunter you’ve grown attached to is such a unique feeling from anything else
I’m new and take it pretty slow and stealthy. I know I’m probably not taking any bounties by myself for now, so I creep along and find myself getting the drop on other players or getting a nice third party kill.
Great vid, it helps to find out little tricks I haven't learned on my own. Only 1 note: burned away health CAN return without a banishing, but only if the bar is PARTIALLY burned away.
Haven’t played the game in years bc I was so scared of it 😂, but now I’m giving it a try and loving it. Second game on I got 7 kills at just one compound which had the bounty there too coincidentally. I died after 1 kill and was about to rage quit till my teammate revived and helped me, and then we ended up killing everyone there, the bounty, and extracting. Got so much loot and Xp and I loved it. Now I’m watching your helpful guides so I won’t develop bad habits.

Not burning a body can be beneficial. 2 of my mates got killed and I was the only one left alive. Knowing I wouldn't survive against a team of 3, I ran into the woods lol. They chased but lost me. I was able to revive my dead teammates and evac safely. We didn't get the bounty, but we left with our characters and the rewards we gained during the match.
True. For your team it was a benefit. But for the team that left the bodies unburnt that could’ve potentially been a major mistake if you guys went after them following. But sounds like it was win win for both squads by the end

hey i liked your video I think you definitely have a talent for it and always appreciate people covering my favorite game... and because I like your style so much I'm going to get a little nit picky here about what you showed/talked about with the game and the tips you gave because I'd love for you to keep making content surrounding Hunt with a little more understanding about it. feel free to completely ignore me if you aren't interested in what I have to say just know that I don't dislike this video and I don't dislike you in the slightest. This isn't a personal attack by any means. Firstly you mentioned never peek twice which seems fair at first, peeking twice can end up with you in someones iron sights perfectly lined up, but as you obviously know (because throughout the video you consistently showed footage of you repeeking angles) that saying to NEVER peek twice is a little exaggerative. If you have a positional advantage on someone and refuse to peek them after peeking once you're giving up your advantage putting it back to neutral to potentially take a less favorable peek in the future. Situations are chaotic sometimes, situations are slow and methodical sometimes, but newer players shouldn't crouch in fear after missing a shot on someone running through open fields. Secondly when you talked about environmental hazards you talked about taking advantage and steering clear of them which is great, there some much better examples of how to do this besides shooting a barrel as someone comes in. A very good tip is when you're in a compound passing by lanterns simply turn them off as you pass. This eliminates a threat that is too hard to keep track of during a big fight to consistently get some kind of value out of. For the red barrels understanding players put the Alarm/Flare trip mines next to them as traps is something to be wary of. Learning how to trap barrels and knowing to be cautious of trapped barrels is a bit more valuable knowledge than just knowing they explode when shot a couple times. Also knowing that when these barrels are exposed to fire from any source (torch grunts, immolators, the butcher, trip wires, flare guns, etc) will explode is important because you don't want to kite any of the fire mobs near them. Thirdly and lastly since anything else would be too much of a nitpick/situational blabber. The one thing players really struggle with when they start this game always seems to be the bounty targets. Nowhere in this video was it touched on how these bounties act and how to effectively beat them. And the tutorial really only covers the Butcher without showing you any of the strategies players have found. I think talking about how using two handed melee tools is an essential topic for any guide. Certain bosses resist certain types of damage as well, there are three types of damage. Slashing, Piercing, Bludgeoning. The butcher is best handled with a slashing weapon i.e. the Axe, Scrapbeak is best handled with piercing i.e. the pitchfork, etc. Scrapbeak doesnt have any tools around their lair (usually), the Butcher lights up dormant oil puddles and as they are dying they have one final swipe that i have personally seen kill many players. The spider can pin you down and the assassin has a signature tier 3 bleed attack thats telegraphed. These bosses aren't incredibly difficult on their own, but having at least a little knowledge about them is invaluable during a contested boss situation. I want to repeat that this video was well made and I appreciate it! I don't dislike it and I don't dislike you I just think you may have put these tips together a little quickly or maybe without thinking of the average Bayou newbie and how incredibly steep the learning curve is. This video has some great tips in it, just without demonstrated or completely understood context and this game is really all about the context of situations you find yourself in. I feel that beginner tips should be centered around the more common situations players will find themselves in so they can put them into action and grow confidence and knowledge permeating from things that go right and wrong using those tips. From a fairly experienced player my biggest tip will always be: BE CONFIDENT! You will die in Hunt, but you should ensure that you capitalize on every opportunity to secure those kills and secure those bounties. Don't spend your free time in fear of other hunters because at the end of the day they're like coyotes. They are more scared of you than you are of them. Much love man.
Well, I learned stuff from your reply, obviously you have deep knowledge of Hunt, id say a lvl 100 prestige 10 or so. I am still dying too much, 3 mmr and my k/d is pathetic, less than 1. gonna be honest alot of people are terrible at pvp in this game
so its just like vigor? which is better
Not even close… vigor is more like Tarkov lite. Hunt really isn’t like any game. Shares similar elements but it’s a totally different package. Also IMO Hunt is better than Vigor for sure. Both games solid… but Hunt is literally built different
I'm on ps4 if anyone wants to bounty with me hit me up
The game is a disappointment so far, i get killed from every fucking where and i can't see where the fuck do the shots come from.
You’d hate games like PUBG or CS:GO then if you think that this game makes it hard to see people
Get better over time. It's comes from experience and you'll develop spacial awareness. Keep on playing
is this a video game or real life?🧑🚀🏃♂🦠🏝
Its real man
