Deb was my favorite character. I first saw Barbara in 1989 on Star Trek the Next Generation. I had not realized that I saw her in the 1988 TV series Sable, too
Fun fact, when I was 5 years old, Barry Corbin (Whitey) came to take a cutting horse lesson with my dad at the ranch we lived on in Bellville Texas. There is a picture of us somewhere! Super nice guy!
Hilarie, you talk about your exit as unceremonious but I see it as Peyton carried a lot of trauma in Tree Hill so when she left town she shed that skin and couldn't bring herself back. It's how she healed by going away. To go back just 2 years later for Brooke's wedding would rip that wound wide open. I'm sure Brooke called her on the phone and send her 100s of pictures from her wedding. Peyton was my 2nd (honestly first if you count her and Brooke as a unit) favorite character so that's how I cope with her loss. "That place knows too much." Something all 3 of you quote on the pod!
