Absolutely gorgeous dragon. Fabulous creative process and I adore the colours. Your podcasts are endlessly entertaining, informative and inspiring. Thanks so much to the Knitting the Stash team!
I love your dragon! You did such an incredible job on her face, she has the most wonderful expression. I think Puff is a very artistic creation. The new sweater is also lovely, but Puff steals the episode! harpingJanet
Beautiful dragon!!! Here in uk, felting is certainly an established craft now as at yarn and craft fairs there are always minimum of a couple of felting stalls and they are amazing. One person does big pieces to replace shot wall mounted deer heads etc. The cardigan is lovely. Thank you for showing 💕🌿.
Same here when it came to sweater vs. scarf as a first knitting project. Puff is absolutely beautiful. Now, she(?) he(?) would look great as a childrens' book.
Again (as I said on IG) that dragon is awesome!! I was really curious about the process and construction - it’s a very interesting and beautiful craft… thank you for sharing it with us. The cardigan is so lovely, thanks as always for your insights. In the past I’ve avoided PetiteKnit as she wasn’t size inclusive but lately I’ve seen an improvement in the offerings. I have her Fortune pullover in my queue 🤞🏽. Enjoy the summer ☀️
Me too on the 1st knit as being a sweater! It was bulky yarn on big needles and I even added big wide stripes to put another color in it! Great job on Puff!
Puff is spectacular! And your sweater will go with everything (when it is cold out again! wow, that fabric sounds warm). At the risk of starting an internet argument, I'd say that craft is the (skilled) making of beautiful and/or useful things, art is using a craft to create something that communicates an emotional message. The joy of making doesn't really depend on the classification of the outcome =) I so wish I had time to test knit for the new Shorn! I am in the middle of moving my frail mother across the country into assisted living...hoping there will be many more editions of your yarn in the future.
Hi Wendy! I appreciate your definition, for sure. And I wish we could get you in for the test knit, too. But you have your hands full at the moment!! Safe move to you and your mom :)
The dragon turned out very cool. We call imperfections "character" lol...or in the case of building things...places to put trim lol. I see lots of flat felting and smaller felting projects but not much for sculptural felting.
it's not quite a DRAGON, but i did take a needle-binding class this weekend, and made a very messy pink wrist-warmer -- hoping to learn enough to make ancient-Viking-like mittens...
Would it be possible to film a tutorial of Spencer sewing on a button? My buttons don’t stay on long at all. I have no idea what I’m doing wrong! I am a self-taught sewer.
Puff...the magic dragon! I love her. So interesting to see the process. It kind of boggles my mind how you did this.
Thanks, Rose! Super fun . . . just took a lot of time :)
Love love love the dragon. And I love watching the two of you interact. This video made me smile … a lot. Thank you!

Oh cool to know! I definitely feel like the craft is growing here in the states (and maybe I'm just out of touch, so far, with the needle felters!)
Yes. Thanks. We’re going on some trips in June but I really do want to come to the Saturday zooms when we get back.
Spencer is quite a guy… he wet felts and he kneads dough too. 😂 Great job on your dragon. Looking forward to your next project.
Thanks, Michelle! I hope all is well with you. Maybe we can catch up one of these summer Saturdays :)
Melissa...Puff is just beautiful. What an accomplishment for your first felted "toy"I hope to see you soon. Debra
Thanks, Debra! Hope to see you soon, too!

@@knittingthestash Forgot to mention. She looks like her name should be "Erica", to me. 😀
Artist or not… you are amazing. ❤️❤️❤️
Aww, thanks.
Cool dragon.

Thanks, Jill! You're so kind. And yes, I agree about PetiteKnit--so glad to see more inclusion in the sizing. Happy summering to you, too!

Thanks, Candy! and you are so spot-on about trim . . . it heals (ah hem, hides) all.
I've felted a couple life size witches hats. Also large bowls
OooO so cool! The 3D sculptures are where it's at, I think!

love it! What a cool class. Can't wait to see photos of your makes. Loved your most recent shawl--beautiful.
Puff is wonderful and hopefully the first of other e-d felting adventures. Surprised you let Big Hot Hands to squeeze the water out of Shorn V
hahah! Sunny, he is a keeper. So great to see you this past Saturday.
