Fluid flow simulations are not supported by PrePoMax and supported only to a very limited extent in CalculiX so this would require a different software. I showed the CfdOF module in FreeCAD in one tutorial but for now I don't plan a series on this topic. Maybe in the future.
Yeah, CalculiX has been supporting explicit dynamics for some time but there have been some major issues with it. In recent releases, this procedure has been significantly improved (still not working perfectly but usable). PrePoMax 1.4.0 brought support for almost all dynamic analyses (apart from complex eigenfrequency extraction).
Gaskets are tricky in terms of FEA. Abaqus even has a special element type for gasket modeling. But it should be doable in PrePoMax as well. Most likely you would just have to add hyperelastic material model usinf the Keywords Editor.
@@saifujiwara3941 I will definitely show something with hyperelasticity (maybe also a gasket) but for now I’m waiting until this material model is supported in PrePoMax. I could show it in keyword editor but then I would have nothing to show when hyperelasticity is added to PrePoMax ;-)
Great display, thank you for doing this.
Hey! Please make a video on fluid simulation in both 2D & 3D.

Oh this is interesting, i hadnt known that prepomax was preparing for explicit support? I didnt know calculix even had that explicit support??

Is it possible to simulation in PreProMax a gasket connection ?

any possibility to a tutorial for it?@@FEAnalyst
