- LSU visited Texas in week 2 of the 2019 college football season. This game lived up to the hype, as the teams lit up the scoreboard in a tightly contested game. Whenever you would think a team would start to pull away, they were matched with a score from their counterpart. This was one of the best college football games of the year, and this video brought a condensed version to fans across the world so they could see this amazing game.

It’s also crazy how competitive Texas kept this game and the potential they showed for the rest of the season if they weren’t full of injured players. The team kinda fell apart in 2019 after this game when the injured started to pile on. Definitely kept it more competitive than Oklahoma did lolol. (I’m not a Texas fan btw)

8 of Texas’s points were basically nothing more than just late game garbage time points. Texas was down by 2 scores with only 22 seconds left in the game !!! LSU kicked 4 FG’s in that game, instead of putting the ball in the end zone !!!
Jody McDaniel bro we had two goal line stands end with a wide open drop in the end zone and at the 1 yard line. We were just as close to winning as being blown out, that’s how these games go.
This game was so underrated in hindsight. Joe Burrows coming out party, that third and 17 😱 Ingrams dropped touchdown was huge. Props to that LSU team. Called it that night they were a serious title contender. From a Texas fan.

Brett McCain thanks yea LSU needs some work also the offense seem Phenomenal at the end of the 2nd quarter and in the second half but the defense was terrible after they got tired and started cramping up and all of those missed easy tackles that’s the real killer I hope they fix those problems on defense and LSU could be the #1 team in the sec they played there best tonight with the issues they faced but I hope they can improve on these issues. Great game and I hope Texas has a great season also they deserve it they played great also.

LSU/Texas was a battle. LSU got better and better as the year progressed. Texas didn't, but had lots of injuries.

Burrow looks like a different dude this year. I'm so impressed with his Tom Bradyish type of composure in the pocket. And these receivers??? Where in the hell did they come from? This is the most potent offense since Mettenburger days with ODJ and Landry with Hill in the backfield. HOWEVER, the defense kinda concerns me with the injuries and the pass rush. Delpit needs to wrap up!!!! Overall, I'm very curious to see this LSU team this season.

Nitin Shukla LSU’s defense was fine. It took Texas a little over 2 and a half quarters to get into the teens in points. LSU just needs to clean up a little and hope for players to stay healthy and this is easily a 2 score game minimum.
Is it just me but LSU never really has cupcake nonconference games, meanwhile Alabama plays new mex state...every year i swear...last year we had to play a hot Miami team to open up our season...i love how we aren't afraid of these NCAA challenges on our schedule
LSU has a very impressive list of non-conference opponents over the years.
Oregon, TCU, Miami, Wisconsin, Washington, Arizona State, BYU, and the list goes on and on...
Alabama has played their fair share as well. Fla. State, and UNC come to mind...
Auburn just played Oregon in the season opener for both teams.

Dang out of the teams that LSU has played in the SEC, Texas was the only game that they really had to grind out a win to the end...You really can't count the Alabama game because LSU was ahead over 20 points by halftime and other than LSU letting their foot off the gas and a couple of blown defensive/special teams coverages that game really would have been 46-7 LSU

Great game. Texas missed a lot of opportunities and their young backs have a lot of room to improve. LSU has a hell of an offense and stout defense. This game had me nervous when the schedule was released, hopefully the playoffs won't be the same teams again this year lol. HOOK EM 🤘
If LSU ends up undefeated or only one loss, and Texas runs the table, this loss won't matter as much come playoff time. The Playoff Committee will LOVE a one loss Texas team, if that one loss is to a playoff bound LSU.

Good Game but there was dumb calls for example Collin got that onside kick but he fumbled out of bound and there was some pass interferences that they didn’t call but at the end of the day good game
Texas really had a lot of opportunities to win this game. 8 plays from inside the 5 yard line with no points early was a killer and had lsu 3rd and 17 in a one possession game at the end to get the ball back and Joe just made a great play. Almost had the onside kick too. Great game

From wins starting job at UGA. Fields transfers to OSU and Eason to Washington (yes, Fromm, Fields, & Eason all on Georgia roster at same time), which leads to Burrow transfering to LSU. Burrow and Ehlinger are terrific.
Fields had nothing to do with Burrow transferring. He transferred when Haskins won the starting job and Fields was a freshman at Georgia.

Man, so close on that onside kick, what a game! Wanted Texas to win, tired of SEC dominance. Texas going to have 4th and goal nightmares. That first one game me a nightmare flashback, I dropped a similar one in high school. I'm cutting the receiver (and myself) some slack, a ball right over your head is tough to catch for some reason LOL

From an LSU fan, Texas has the potential to run the table in the Big 12 this year. The only competition they have is Oklahoma and I honestly wouldn't be surprised if they go 11-1 this year.

It's nice to see that we finally have a decent QB with a solid passing game. However The Tigers don't play in the Big 12, they play in the SEC. You cant win consistantly in this Conference without a solid run game. They need to work on that b/c while having almost 600 yard of total offense is awesome, only having 100 of those yards come on the ground is not.
