Hi Timothy. Thanks for responding to my comment, and no need to apologize. I'm actually learning GarageBand, and I love it. But also, I'm amazed with apples accessibility features. It's so nice that you don't have to purchase extra accessibility software and install it. Feel free to check out my TH-cam channel, if you want.
My understanding is that GB works well on iPad, if you mean the interface for the blind, it is my assumption that it is available on the iPad. I would be more than happy to ask Timothy for you.
Hi Timothy! I am very interested in this videoclip, for I am school assistent for a blind music student who has to learn record independently. I am trying to sort out as much as possible for her so that she can start recording right away. I am just wondering, for now: it isn't clear to me wether I should depend ONLY on voice-over in controlling the program, or that I should use key commands in the program, or both! In your video it is not really clear what controls you use... So far I am just trying out basics, and got to work a simple recording, adding tracks, etc BUT.... I didn't find my way yet to the section where you can choose software instruments. I am working with a little midi-keyboard plugged in and I try to select several instruments, but I simply don't find my way to that part without using the mouse...... VO arrows (the Voice-Over navigating) doesn't work in this case... can you tell me? Thanks in advance!!! Oh btw, I am running this on a Macbook Air
hello there. this video was made while i was half a sleep on a crappy mic that i no longer use. my screen reader was roughly at 50 percent. it's really not that fast.
actually guys i made this while i was half a sleep on a crappy mic but i digress. i greatly appreciate these questions. you can yes use garageband on all apple devices even if you are totally blind. you use it with voiceover. that's what you hear talking in my video. i mixed it into the video. you can feel free to check out my music on my personal youtube. just click on my channel and enjoy. also, feel free to follow me on twitter where i can answer your questions faster. follow @timothyclark13
Brother Timothy Clark can you add me on Skype because I need some help with voiceover on a MacBook, I am a totally blind student Who wants to use garage band
Brother Timothy Clark Hello Brother Tim, my name is Zaire. I discovered a musical instrument called Roli blocks. They say thatt they run on Garage band. Now, I'm wondering if their Noise app is acceeeesssssssable? I've seen a youtube video ware they control Garageband with the ROli blocks, but they didn't have voice over on it. I said all thatt to ask this: do you think they would work with voice overrr? Thanksss,
I am totally blind and I really enjoyed this video because you taught me a little bit about the new Mac voiceover unfortunately I got stuck with having my operating system die because my computer was so outdated that it just didn't work as good I also have a question is that Mac touchscreen or are you using shortcut keys to handle all the commands if it's touchscreen I think I will ask for that instead of them MacBook Pro so I to use a digital recorder mine is the WS 802 and I would strongly recommend that because it is very easy to operate and it's a good recorder for the money so I would like you to check out my TH-cam channel because I to have some pretty cool videos about videogames and how I handle them I also do Lego creations and construction truck toy videos also what is your personal TH-cam name so I can subscribe
Hi Timothy. Thanks for this video. I am also totally blind, and have been using the screen reader from Freedom Scientific called Job Access With Speech (JAWS) for many years. I do my own podcast, but still have to rely on sided assistance with the editing part of it, which is very frustrating. Do you know of any accessible programs that work well for people like myself who use JAWS? If not, do you know of anyone on TH-cam who knows of any good ones? Thanks.
Brother Alex, i'm running an iMac. this is all keyboard strokes. also, i'm commenting from my main channel. should you have Skype, you can add me. djtimothy1 god bless
