Hi Ms. Indhumathi devanathan, after downloading the data using QGIS. Digitize downloaded LULC and project them using Projected Coordinate System (PCS). Now you calculate the area.

Try this method once you have added the wms layer to qgis, right click on it and select--> save raster layer as, format --> Geotiff. unselect the create VRT and Choose destination and name the output image. In resolution select --> columns & rows --> set the number as 1000 for both and finally click ok.
