now there is one thing that no one mentions on here...is the quiet ride that you had in your 2014 silverado that you grow to love...
it goes as soon as the mounts are installed. ..I knew about the whistling. ..but not about the sound of air coming in from both sides driver & passenger sides...so once you hit speed 25 & up you will know what I am talking about...so it being winter & raining I decided to take it off! because of the windows being rolled up...but once spring comes around I will definitely putting them back on! windows will be down! lol...hope this helps with anyone thinking about getting light bar for your 2014 silverado! (mounts are made of high quality metal & powder coated with matte black finish)...

ok so I went off and got this set for my 50" curved light bar...& it was easy! the rivits are holding up stong! my truck looks awesome! I also did the 2.5" leveling kit from rough counrty both cool
hey where did you run your wires on your light bar
Hey I bought some brackets for my 52 inch led light bar . I have everything mounted , the only problem is when ever I put in a rivet in the bracket , it burns up my fuse . Is this common
how do u hide the bulk wire coming off the light bar that gose to the plug under the hood on a 2018 serria?
is there an alternative instead of riveting on there...Id like to be able change my trucks appearance instead of being stuck with it.
I ordered these and love it I installed them exactly like the videos says on my 2014, I fixed the whistle and vibration problem. but it leaks when it rains and I'm driving, doesn't leak when sitting. any suggestions or fixes? where to put silicone and weather stripping? please and thank you. I've gone through rough country for everything
+Zach Fisher If your bracket isn't placed at the proper measurement as the installation instructions call for then it could create pressure and or a small gap in the door jamb. I would recommend silicone around the perimeter of the bracket inside the door jamb
wow...pop rivits...how sturdy is this ...does it hold well...is there a different way to hold the mounts in place...?

Question here. I will be placing a 36 inch led light bar on the roof of my car, so worst case scenario, if I cant retro fit brackets, will I need to drill holes into the car roof?

how would you do it for a 1996 gmc sonoma
I'm interested in getting this for my 2016 GMC Sierra 1500. It looks like from the video the top of the light bar is even or maybe even a little lower than the XM antenna on the roof, is this true or is the camera distorting the view? My rig fits in my Garage by about 1/2", so I cant have the 50" bar above the XM antenna.
The light bar is a low profile design that will sit lower than the XM antenna. I can't guarantee you that it will have enough clearance to fit in your garage but it is a low profile design.
Rough Country I appreciate the quick response. If it sits below the XM antenna and the antenna is the highest point of the vehicle, why wouldn't it fit in the garage?
water leaks through the seals where at the point where the brackets are attached. I will probably have to take it off if I cant find a fix soon enough. any ideas
First thing I would check and make sure the mounts are in the right location. If not it can create pressure on the door seal and be the cause of the leaking. If it is in the correct location and it is just leaking then I would recommend some clear silicone.

They both whistle depending on where they are mounted. We offer the noise dampening foam inserts that you can put on the back side of them to eliminate the whistling.

With all LED Light Bars mounted above the windshield there will be noise at certain speeds. This is something that affects every brand and style on the market. Curved light bars do help to cut down on wind noise a bit and you can find some very effective strategies for reducing wind noise online.
There should be a how to video on the best way to run the wire inside cab for 2014-2017 gm trucks.

I had a leaking problem with these brackets. I own a 2014 GMC Sierra 1500 and after I got the 54 inch light bar installed every time it would rain, water would leak in through the gap caused my the mounts. I tried many solutions to try to fix them, but never could. So I had to take the light bar off.
hey, did you have wind noise coming from the mounting bracket also? I just installed mine with the rubber baking and it still have wind noise coming through the door.
Oh hell yes I had wind noise! it was super annoying! I put tape over the back of the light bar to stop the high pitch whistling, but even after that I still had a lot of wind noise. Going 70 on the highway sucked....

ohok. I've heard about a fix for that issue with the light bar whistling, but I'm talking about the bracket mount itself at the door seal. air is getting in. sounds like my windows down
Yeah mine had the same noise. They tried using a whole bunch of other mounts and stuff and nothing worked... They even drilled new set of holes in my truck and it still didn't stop the wind noise...

What water leaks? The bracket mounts to the inside of the door jamb so the door seal protects from any leaking just as it does if there was not a bracket installed.
Incorrect actually. It presses the seal out of tts normal position which the tolerance is so tight it actually presses the door outward creating a gap for air and water. Try again

Justin Amaro Yes, all light bars have the potential to cause the whistling noise due to air flow up the windshield and across the fins on the back of the light. There is a simple fix to the issue that you can read about in the following link.

Have a 50" bar mounted on my 18 Silverado and looks great and managed to reduce the harmonics and most wind noise but the glare on the windshield is so bad I can't drive with the lightbar on, any suggestions?
why do you not make a mount for a 2004 silverado for a 50" straight light bar? I've been searching everywhere only ones i can find are over 150 bucks
Joe Withey We recommend a curved light bar for that truck due to the curve in the windshield and to prevent wind noise. However, you are not the only one to make this requests. I've made our research and development team aware of the demand. Stay tuned.

I can not believe you guys don't have mounting brackets for a 2004 Chevy Duramax. I have two trucks and two sets of 54 inch light bars, and can't mount them because no one make them. That's just ridiculous! I know so many people with the same year truck as mine, and no one offers a mounting bracket for that year.

We don't currently make a mount for the 99 Suburban/Yukon, but the same mount for the 2001 Silverado will work for the 2000-2006 Yukon/Tahoe and Suburban/Yukon XL. Thanks for bringing to our attention there's interest in the 99 year models too. I'll let our guys in R&D know.

The light is awesome however the noise that comes through the door jams is incredibly unbearable, you can't even have a conversation but if you turn up the music, then it's fine. If you're paying over a thousand dollars for this bar light and have to deal with the noise is ridiculous.
If you have noise from the light then we would recommend using the noise isolators or check the location of the mounting of the brackets. If they are not properly located then that could cause a gap in the door seal and create wind to travel thru there.
