    Can this be also turned into a complete dress. As in using for prom dress/ball gown etc? Gorgeous and simple

      Definitely! I have made a dress with lace panels like this: th-cam.com/video/uYG3IQ4ffKQ/w-d-xo.html

    This video is saying it's only a minute long?

      So it only seems to work correctly on mobile?

      Pidge Garrett For me it says it's 5:40, but it stops at the beginning and I still hear the instructions. I'm using a mobile device too.

      Sorry you guys are having trouble watching. 🙁
      I'm not having any trouble viewing on mobile at the moment. Perhaps it has to do with the version of the app you use or your connection?
      I've also had TH-cam be awful in the past with random videos (anyone remember #clublockedout?), so this may not be a thing Mao can help you on, but she is good about checking back to comments. I hope things can be figured out for you both soon!

      The video appears to be fixed! :) Have a look, and if it still doesn't work, let me know!

    What would I do if I didn't want a high slit in mine?

    • @KatieCottingham
      @KatieCottingham 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Are you saying you don't want a slit at all or just a lower, more covering slit?

    • @KatieCottingham
      @KatieCottingham 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Because the slit for this pattern is created on a seam you can adjust to your personal comfort level.
      Most skirt patterns can have the slit length adjusted either in the process of cutting (if the slit occurs within a panel) or at the time of construction (if the slit occurs at a seam). Because she's recommending starting with an existing pattern for a mermaid skirt, you would need to adapt based on how your original pattern constructs the garment.

      Katie Cottingham okay. yes I was wondering if it would still fit without a slit. I'll go check out the mermaid skirt video to see what that one is like. thanks
