- While the world of news shook with questions of mass surveillance with #Pegasus Project, Indian TV news anchors jumped on the first wagon of distraction they could find: the story of a small-time businessman involved in an alleged ‘porn racket’. News on Raj Kundra, whose only claim to fame is his marriage to 90s #Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty, was the flavour of the week. India Today wore its sleaze on its sleeve to make sure the eyeballs keep rolling.
Meanwhile ,#ArnabGoswami was on one of his periodic tirades against independent media. We unpack Arnab’s logic of the news business and explain how news that serves the public determines the very health of a democracy.
Amish Devgan delivered an emotionally-charged monologue which followed Twitter trends on #GulluMedia. His feelings were so contagious, we caught some too! Watch.

BJP is smart, they knew if they had this guy running behind them with mainstream media funding backing them they;d drown so they lured him with immence wealth and money and he went with it.
it was an end of an era after bjp came to power and entire journalist industry went to dogs after that, only pillars in democrasy are upheld by small media outlets like newslaundry, scroll, caravan, alt news etc and good reporters like ravish kumar.
