I thank TH-cam that allows me to upload the regattas: I am a Luna Rossa fan and I am forced to miss the live broadcasts due to my work schedule, being able to see them at least in deferred mode is a great gift for me.
There’s a reason why ETNZ won back to back America’s Cup guys. They don’t crack under pressure. Always have an extra gear when it matters most. Go ETNZ! Go Kiwis!!! We’re so tired of hosting that we gave it to Barcelona 😂
It's hard to see anything the Italians could have done any better. They timed their start perfectly to gain an early lead but they couldn't shake off the Kiwis. It only took one turn when the Italians temporarily lost a little speed for the Kiwis to take the lead and then they just powered away. And I had thought the Italians, or possibly the Americans, looked the best of the challengers in the preliminary Regatta!
Thats the advantage of experience, Team NZ having the superior tactical advantage as well as some extra speed, but really it was a very smart move that got them ahead.

NZ finished 11th at the olympics and are strong in all their main sports and even their minor sports like softball,hockey they are strong they were robbed in the rugby world cup against SA playing with 14 men for an hour and in the league world cup against Australia thanks to an aussie ref they only lost both games by 1 a great sporting nation for their population of only 5 million

The lack of excitement or explanation of what was actually happening when TNZ caught and overtook LR was frustrating. Stephen was the only one who seemed to be aware in the moment and it was jolting when he spoke: "Lead change! ... Too low key and not enough technical feedback when it mattered.

I see all the haters out there have gone quiet for the time being, LR simply outsailed, end of story. And then some absolute clown dropped TeamNZ's boat 6m down onto its cradle..... its either gross incompetence or something else.... but whatever it is, its dealt TeamNZ a bad hand.... who knows what damage has been done, but stress fractures in a carbon fibre hull is NOT a good thing.... they'll need an aircraft x-ray device to run over the hull to check for soft spots and/or fractures and then do repairs, which will take time. Sucks that the integrity of the hull has been compromised through no fault of their own.

For once when Luna Rossa was in command and it was enough to control New Zealand, we threw away the opportunity by not gybing at every change of direction of the pursuer, forcing it to take the Luna Rossa discharges.... and instead, at New Zealand's gybe, Luna Rossa does not follow it by changing direction and quickly finds itself at a disadvantage until being caught and overtaken. Compliments (ironic) to the helmsman.... What a fool.
LRPP needs a new skipper. Spithill sometimes makes some questionable decisions at the most crucial times. You are in the lead,, sailing the same wind and you end up losing by 12 seconds??? It is never about the boat. It's the men in them.

@@fabiocampagnoli I would most definitely not bet on that. I don't think you've seen a fraction of what the Kiwi boat or its crew can do yet. How do they just keep increasing the distance in the second half of that race if your boys and your boat is that good?
Not happy with the commentary. I mean who cares to hear that the LR sails look nice in silver? Or that the racing is close when we can see that for ourselves? The commentary team needs to step up the expert side, and let Stephen handle the lame stuff.

Remarcable race, taking breath away 😮😮😮 they are so fast, boats are basicly flying. Congrats winners no matter if my favorite ones..are just second place. Frankly I prefer . .. the Barcolana confusion, let them more boats join the race. I think so too. I loved see the man at the wintch, the sail that goes upon the tree etc etc ...but this is sails too. That is classical sail, this is the "F1 sails"......i like too.
@jorehir when trailing ETNZ was within 50m most of the time, but once they took the lead, they stretched out to 200-300m, I think we know which boat is faster

Luna rossa ha fatto una buona barca ma new zealand è ancora più veloce. Oggi si è visto chiaramente, luna rossa era davanti per lati, e non è riuscita a allungare anzi è stata ripresa. Purtroppo c'è da migliorare per batterli 💔🤧
Ricordiamoci che alla regata precedente era Luna Rossa a riprendere NZ, se non fosse stato per le penalità LR avrebbe vinto.. quindi non darei tutto per scontato. Se riusciranno a limitare gli errori potranno, seppur con difficoltà vincere.

I don't read anyone in the comments talking about the difference of this regatta compared to the latests and it's important: there was less wind and less wave (conditions who are not so common in Barcelona). I readind many confident ETNZ fans but (if I were an ETNZ fan), I wouldn't be so sure I've already won, also because will not be necessarily LR the true rival (AM it's fast, it will be not easy to defeat). Said that, when and if LR will win the Louis Vuitton Cup, after we will think to ETNZ (as already wrote many times, in the first regattas of the last final, LR looked even better than ETNZ, then we all know how ended).
Luna Rossa is the strongest boat, but the helmsmen unfortunately not, we are the usual, we have poor pilots on a fantastic boat, we put Ruggero Tita at the helm of Luna Rossa, I would say that in addition to deserving it he has also amply demonstrated it in 2 consecutive Olympics!! 💪🏻🇮🇹

ETNZ is not there to look at playing tiddley winks with the kids. ETNZ is there to compete, commit, and completely own the race. One ounce of hesitation, decisions or mistakes ETNZ will own you and the race. In saying that let's not ever underestimate Jim the 'Pitbull' Spithill on Prada, Jimmy's there to scratch an itch.

Why should any of the challengers push? There are no points to gain for the round robin ranking, there is non-necessary stress for the boat and you give data for free to the difendere on how to beat you when it will count. It is just a plain nonsense.

Hanno virato "in faccia" come prima (10:57) e invece in questo secondo incrocio ETNZ non ha virato verso SX come prima ma ha continuato a DX in una posizione, mi pare di capire, scomoda e dove si becca i rifiuti... eppure è riuscita a stare lì andando pure più forte: come mai?
Sono d'accordo, non vedo grandi errori di Luna Rossa: hanno fatto una miglior partenza, hanno mantenuto un vantaggio di 40 - 60, anche 80 metri fino a 2 terzi del terzo lato. Tutto andava bene, poi ad un certo punto New Zeland, senza una spiegazione apparente, prendendo il vento a dritta come Luna Rossa, si è messa ad andare più veloce, e questo per tutto il resto della regata, fino a raggiungere e mantenere un vantaggio di 140 e più metri e vincere facilmente. Non si capisce proprio. I neozelandesi devono aver messo in atto qualcosa che gli dà un vantaggio e che noi ancora non conosciamo.
Kiwis look sleek but not unbeatable, in the drag race with flat water and sub 8 knots they had a small edge today, it will take more than that to win the cup.

I dont understand why the Kiwis are racing but dont get points !? I thought they were not supposed to race until the final ? The prelimary regatta was useless : they're going to meet twice with every team ! But the Kiwis are qualifed but are racing anyway !!
Perché non sai leggere la regata. Seconda regata persa per manovre sbagliate, non per la barca. Tanto che oggi Bruni ha anche ammesso l'evidente errore di manovra. Quello che stanno nascondendo le due barche per ottobre non ci è ancora dato saperlo, ma ad oggi si è perso con 12s di svantaggio per un errore di manovra evidente!
@@brunomulas389 purtroppo quest' anno non ci sono pochi esperti che sappiano fare l'analisi e se non si è un minimo esperti ci si confonde. Provo a spiegartelo io: l'errore di manovra è stato fatto sulla layline di destra, quindi LR è rimasta nei rifiuti di ETNZ fino alla boa senza potersi smarcare, in pratica hanno fatto la fine del topo. Quindi i 200m presi durante quella manovra e mantenuti fino alla fine continuano a dimostrare che per ora Taihoro non ha nulla in più della silver bullet. Semplicemente l'errore è stato un errore da 250m. Prima eri 50m avanti costantemente, dopo eri 200m dietro e ci sei rimasto.

probably the hydraulic pumps powered by the batteries for the foil lift and cant systems.

Luna rossa ha fatto una buona barca ma new zealand è ancora più veloce. Oggi si è visto chiaramente, luna rossa era davanti per lati, e non è riuscita a allungare anzi è stata ripresa. Purtroppo c'è da migliorare per batterli 💔🤧
Ricordiamoci che alla regata precedente era Luna Rossa a riprendere NZ, se non fosse stato per le penalità LR avrebbe vinto.. quindi non darei tutto per scontato. Se riusciranno a limitare gli errori potranno, seppur con difficoltà vincere.

I don't read anyone in the comments talking about the difference of this regatta compared to the latests and it's important: there was less wind and less wave (conditions who are not so common in Barcelona).
I readind many confident ETNZ fans but (if I were an ETNZ fan), I wouldn't be so sure I've already won, also because will not be necessarily LR the true rival (AM it's fast, it will be not easy to defeat).
Said that, when and if LR will win the Louis Vuitton Cup, after we will think to ETNZ (as already wrote many times, in the first regattas of the last final, LR looked even better than ETNZ, then we all know how ended).

One ounce of hesitation, decisions or mistakes ETNZ will own you and the race. In saying that let's not ever underestimate Jim the 'Pitbull' Spithill on Prada, Jimmy's there to scratch an itch.

Why should any of the challengers push? There are no points to gain for the round robin ranking, there is non-necessary stress for the boat and you give data for free to the difendere on how to beat you when it will count. It is just a plain nonsense.

Hanno virato "in faccia" come prima (10:57) e invece in questo secondo incrocio ETNZ non ha virato verso SX come prima ma ha continuato a DX in una posizione, mi pare di capire, scomoda e dove si becca i rifiuti... eppure è riuscita a stare lì andando pure più forte: come mai?
Sono d'accordo, non vedo grandi errori di Luna Rossa: hanno fatto una miglior partenza, hanno mantenuto un vantaggio di 40 - 60, anche 80 metri fino a 2 terzi del terzo lato. Tutto andava bene, poi ad un certo punto New Zeland, senza una spiegazione apparente, prendendo il vento a dritta come Luna Rossa, si è messa ad andare più veloce, e questo per tutto il resto della regata, fino a raggiungere e mantenere un vantaggio di
140 e più metri e vincere facilmente. Non si capisce proprio. I neozelandesi devono aver messo in atto qualcosa che gli dà un vantaggio e che noi ancora non conosciamo.
E' una gara senza valore .. ma perchè Luna rossa dovrebbe dare vantaggi ai kiwi? Per me li hanno fatti passare apposta.

Semplicemente sverniciati in velocità. Nell'unico punto di forza che Luna Rossa sembrava avere, sono stati completamente dominati.
Perché non sai leggere la regata. Seconda regata persa per manovre sbagliate, non per la barca.
Tanto che oggi Bruni ha anche ammesso l'evidente errore di manovra. Quello che stanno nascondendo le due barche per ottobre non ci è ancora dato saperlo, ma ad oggi si è perso con 12s di svantaggio per un errore di manovra evidente!

@@brunomulas389 purtroppo quest' anno non ci sono pochi esperti che sappiano fare l'analisi e se non si è un minimo esperti ci si confonde.
Provo a spiegartelo io: l'errore di manovra è stato fatto sulla layline di destra, quindi LR è rimasta nei rifiuti di ETNZ fino alla boa senza potersi smarcare, in pratica hanno fatto la fine del topo. Quindi i 200m presi durante quella manovra e mantenuti fino alla fine continuano a dimostrare che per ora Taihoro non ha nulla in più della silver bullet.
Semplicemente l'errore è stato un errore da 250m. Prima eri 50m avanti costantemente, dopo eri 200m dietro e ci sei rimasto.
