  • Welcome to another enlightening episode of Life Roast! This week, we dive headfirst into the world of participation awards and trophies. Where did they come from? Why are they here? Are these well-meaning tokens of encouragement helping or hindering our kids? Join us as we roast this hot topic with our signature blend of humor and real talk.
In this episode, we explore the potential impacts of participation awards on children's development into adulthood. We’ll dig into the absurdity of why we do what we do, and how these seemingly harmless practices shape the standards of our society.
We’re calling it out and roasting the ridiculousness of it all. Plus, we tackle the judgment parents face, the guilt that dictates their behaviors, and the all-too-common tendency to choose the easy path over making the tough decisions.
So tune in for a fun, thought-provoking conversation that’s sure to make you laugh, think, and maybe even question a few of your own beliefs. As always, we promise to keep it light, humorous, and brutally honest. Get ready to roast some life!

I played baseball, football and wrestled. The first two had the team banquet at the end of the year with a participation trophy. In wrestling you earned your trophies and medals. I played the first two for 4 years combined as to where I wrestled for 7... 🤔

I liked how a player who did the best that game would recieve the game ball. Each player then wanted one and would give all in hope to be the next one to get one.

This is definitely something I haven't seen in a while though I've heard of it still being practiced. It's sad I had to ask if this was even allowed though because I'm sure somehow someone would find a way to get offended by it. Didn't know if it fit the mold of "inclusivity" or not.

What about the 1 or 2 kids that are good and get put on a team where the rest of the kids don't want to be there
