Bo selecta is one of the funniest shows ever. Watched it all again recently and it’s nostalgic for a great time when everyone was a lot happier. Right when the internet was a great tool but just before everyone in the world became a bell end.
I agree who cares who is offended it is a joke even when the Chuckle Brothers was accused of being insensitive towards people with a stutter when they did a sketch and one of them stuttered. I think f off and leave our comedy alone. Poundland was accused of being insensitive towards mentally ill people for calling their copycat M&Ms Nutters it is more condescending for the mental health charity to point that out.
Mel B loved her character because unlike Craig David she can clearly see it’s just absolutely ridiculous and isn’t some calculated political attack on any demographic. Craig David has a falcon on his shoulder, a ps bag and a northern accent

After all, it's not like the ones who claim they regret it are sorry enough to hand back the money they made from it... Glad LF didn't do that here.
Craig David’s humourless response to Bo Selecta was basically what killed his career. If he’d have risen above it or even embraced it, that would have been a much better look and would have kept his stock high. Instead, he took it to heart and just became part of the joke. Years later, post-political correctness, he claimed the issue he had with it was he felt it was racist. No, you just couldn’t laugh at yourself and still can’t.

As a black person, I do take offence but I'm not surprised or going to kick up a fuss you and others support this kind of mocking of us given your prejudice. The main issue I have is, young black kids seeing positive black role models. Far too much mocking and foolishness shown of black people in the media with an agenda!

I just think… when someone wears a face mask to impersonate a celebrity, obviously that face mask is going to be a similar colour to that celebrity’s actual skin colour. For the purpose of the impersonation. In the same way that when Leigh Francis was impersonating Lorraine Kelly and using a face mask to do so, the face mask was closer in colour to Lorraine Kelly’s actual complexion. The same with the characters of Sharon Osbourne, Mel B, Kat Slater, David Blaine, Elton John, David Beckham etc. How exactly is that racist? The joke isn’t the colour of the character’s skin. The humour comes from how ridiculous and bizarre it all is. ‘Craig David’ character inexplicably had a Yorkshire accent ffs. Was that also designed to offend the people of Yorkshire? As a black man, that doesn’t give you any more right to be offended. It just comes across as a bit of a victim mentality. There is actual racism going on in the world and that’s not ok.
