I'm in that crowd, Download is held not far from where I live and I used to go every year. It was as insane as it looks and I got battered. Was right up front in the pits.
Slipknot live is literally the some of the best time I’ve ever had. Not even kidding. Take the 🤘🏻 fuck yeah 🤘🏻 you get from watching a live video and imagine like 100X more. They put on an amazing show. Corey (“the neck” lol) and the boys are the best. You HAVE to get to a show THIS year dude! Glad you checked out both versions. Looking forward to the next as always…but I want you to check out more Jinjer!!
I do believe they have said before that what gets them through the shows is the energy they get from the crowd. The crowd is feeding off them and going nuts and in turn they feed off of the crowd and go nuts! Seeing them live in person should absolutely be on your bucket list! I have seen them twice and the energy is addictive!! Also fun fact about Corey's neck and why it looks so huge: 1. It is naturally that big but 2. He actually walked around with broken for years!! He didn't go to a doctor for years and just lived with and when he finally did go, they discovered that it was broken!! I can't remember all the details of it but you can look it up. If that's not metal AF idk what it!

Best performance of this song imo is 'Slipknot Wait And Bleed 3/3/2000 Live In London' on a channel called 'HowToSlipknotMasks' here on TH-cam 🤘 The Disasterpiece DVD performance and this one from Download are both great too, but that 2000 performance was just raw early Slipknot at it's finest + it was also kinda funny, because it was on some TV show and they didn't quite expect the crowd to go as wild as they did let's say 😅

My suggestion is to always find as early performance of the song as you can when you check out live versions, aka from the album cycle when it was released. Their performance of Wait and bleed from 1999 or 2000 is an entirely different thing compared to this one. Download 2009 as a whole is pretty overrated imo because there is many much more intense and over all better ones available too. 👍
