- Episode 1: Hi I am Tracy, age 59, and this is my journey giving up the big life for an experiment in surrender. Leaving my home of 27 years for a life in a little van called Mooki. Having had years in the suburbs, teaching yoga and bringing up a family, life happened, and everything changed, everything was affected, the Pandemic hit, our business crashed, health realities and disabilities had to be accepted and with income gone sacrifices had to be made. This is my transition and complete surrender to all of it. Not sure what our next move will be, but we are starting with a van called Mooki. Liberation.

I live in South Africa and with similar circumstances (right down to an indigenous garden and a covid failed business), have contemplated what you are doing many times. Either that or a tiny house. I wish you so much peace and happiness in this new life where things do not define you anymore and where each day is an exercise in faith. I will be following your journey with interest.

I'm so sexcited for both of you. I can so relate. I left my UK home, packed up and sold everything and left with 2 bags. I wanted a simple life, free of deft, bills and stress and anxiety. My journey lead me to Lamu in Kenya for 6 months and then home to SA. I have no idea where I will end up but I'm savoring every experience and I love the person I am becoming because of it 💛

Looking forward to following your story, mine, not too different. Working remotely has given me the opportunity to work from basically anywhere in our beautiful country. So that is where my offices is going to be.... in a van with no set address.

My friend, it has taken this long to finish watching this awe inspiring story, mainly because of the emotions I felt watching it. Knowing you and feeling your feels when we had our conversations, knowing the love, sweat and tears you poure into everything you do. I know this journey you will own like the queen that you are, your crown might slip a bit but that is part of the journey.

Oh my friend you had me tearing up too. Hard to watch but had to be said in first episode...they will be lighter for sure from 2nd episode being Kens journey. We are heading to Storms river and the Sedgefield way next week ....George Airport close for a pick up. We would love to have your company as we will be there a month as so so much to see either side.
This life can be difficult but the pros way outnumber the cons. Meeting awsum peeps who are always ready to help or give advise. Salt of the earth types who have been living this way for years. We have much to learn but loving the journey.
Have to live these words I used to end my classes with.
"Let's not look back in anger or forward in fear but rather around with awareness in the present moment"

Just seen this now for the first time. Very nicely done. I will follow your journey with interest. We camp a lot with our 32 year old caravan and I have done a few videos, not nearly as good as yours, of campsites in the Western Cape.

I too am 59 and would love to live in a van ... however the political state of this country causes hesitation. How can you ensure safety of your vehicle? Any ideas?
Hi Belinda safety is always our minds in SA. But all parks have good security. We are sticking to Western Cape for now so good roads and sticking to main routes. Google took us to some "unknown roads" which wasn't clever, but lesson learned. We don't take chances and haven't had a single problem so far. But must admit the roads make a big difference so Western Cape the 👌
