    Hello everyone and welcome back to Age of Wonders 4! Today, the Chosen of Hashut claims the power of the Seals for himself and ascends to the Immaterium in Hashut's dark name. Drazhoath's final episode took a little bit longer than I expected, but I was determined to see it done. Velthreek put up quite a fight over his primary Seal at 1:03:15, Gortash declared and did nothing at 1:16:58, Eomer rode out one last time at 1:58:54, and Salavass turtled in to oblivion at 3:06:52. Thanks for watching and following the series to its end!

    Great series! I am not a big fan of Warhammer, but I do enjoy this series because you actually do explain some of the lore and reasoning behind certain actions based on the lore. Can't wait to see the next series!
    One thing that I did figure out through some testing is that if you capture a unit through Merciless Slavers/Mind Control/Seduce/Subdue/etc, you basically are removing them from the equation. Even if you dismiss them, they will not return to their original owner as if they were routed and escaped. Also, interestingly enough, capturing the units removes them from the total exp pool that is distributed out to your units/heroes in the post-battle. You don't seem to get as much, if any, experience when you capture units instead of killing them. So, my recommendation is to capture units you want, but if you have Merciless Slavers, try to kill units you don't want as they are routing instead of just ending the battle immediately. That is, of course, if you care about exp at that point.

      I'm glad you've enjoyed the series!
      Thanks for sharing your findings! That certainly explains why Drazhoath's stack felt underleveled for the amount of slaughtering they did.

    23:40 The shrine of smiting could move because one of your heros had attacked the other shrine of smiting. and was not facing this one, which gave it one hex, where you did not have a zone of control, it could move into and such not get pinned, and it could then move further away and use its attack.

      @@FableheimI played yesterday after seeing this comment. I also failed to apply it successfully for the same reason. One unit was staged correctly, the other had already attacked and was facing wrong direction. It's tough to remember to save the first unit's ZOC for that purpose

    You might want to look at Pantheon unlocked starting gear for your rulers, the skills will stay with you even after changing weapons, you mentioned that it would be beater to have Halbert for Drazhoath, well Crossbow gives Giant Slayer, picking lore accurate/more interesting skills instead of a weapon, also you get Special Mounts either way, even if the weapon disables the slot.

    Suggestion for future campaign: Arch-Grand Commandor Luther Harkon of the Zombie Pirates. Required mods: Tomes of the Sea (or Tomes of the Timberwood, which combines all of Timberwood’s tomes mods into one) and More Traits (for Vampiric trait). Take any tone related to the sea (Tides from Age of Tomes, Siren, Shell, Scourge Captain from Tomes of the Sea), play on island or continents map. Reavers culture. Society traits: Expert Seafarers (of course) + whichever you think fits best.
    Recommended mods: Age of Tomes for Tome of Tides, Undead Remastered for more skelly variety and zombies

      That's a lot of mods for a single playthrough, but I do like the idea of being able to sing the Vampire Coast song.

    Severing Golems are Mythic units that actually have that "oomph" so many Mythics lack.

    • @Fableheim
      @Fableheim  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      That's true! Although a bit of that oomph was because of the strong synergy with Overcharge.

      @Fableheim Their attack is a repeating AoE, they can target three random units anywhere on the map (good for mopping up a few fleeing enemies), and I'm relatively certain they also had a cleanse that you never used. They don't need the tuning kit buff to be good.

      @Fableheim  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@AngryGerbils True, but the Tuning Kit makes them great. :D

    i would like to see you try a challange one of these times the new attack mechanic for the city states are Really powerful if you build up the attack waves id like to see you do an order run and try to wage war though the city state [maybe offensive only so you can defend with a normal army?] ive allready won several games with this cause the city states just get legendary reinforcements but id like to see what you think.

    Wow, that must have been exhausting. So many battles with the seal guards and rulers.

    • @Fableheim
      @Fableheim  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      It was definitely exhausting, but I was determined to conclude in this episode!
      I did, however, pass out for like 14 hours after recording, editing, rendering, and releasing this video. XD

    i think the damage combat enchantments for the seal guards can be a touch harsh honestly i don't think I'm going to play this game mode cause of it even more so when it can be something like metor storm

    • @Fableheim
      @Fableheim  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Honestly, I think they're all fine *except* for Meteors. Insanity was annoying, but it can be managed. Meteors is just "welp, gg".
      That said, there's a reason that only one of the poll options will be doing Seals victory again. XD

    Awakener, Tier 3 High Culture, had Twin awakening at the start, but as he was beater support than Tier 2 Support, which had single target one, Developers switched awakening skills of those units.
    You probably missed it, because you don't play High Culture.

    Not the biggest fan of seals victory just because it seems very RNG dependent on your spawns. Almost losing to a seals victory simply because someone on the other side of the map spawned with an extra seal or two just seems obnoxious tbh.
    Still, amazing series! Would love to see how youd play Chosen Destroyers just cause I've tried it before (have an entire rp build and everything) and I seem to run into the problem of one AI becoming absurdly powerful near in the end game and leaving me in a perpetual stalemate.

    • @Fableheim
      @Fableheim  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yeahhhh, the Seals were a little disappointing. I remember that in Age of Wonders 3 the Seals had an incredibly strict spawning logic, so much so that you could almost predict all Seal locations just by finding one or two -- at least on a Land map. Hopefully the incoming patch this week tweaks them a bit.
      I'm glad you enjoyed! The next series is up to a poll, but the Chosen Destroyer faction (Archaon the Everchosen) has secured a pretty hefty lead. It's very likely that I will be doing Chosen Destroyer for the next series, so we'll get to learn how I approach it together. XD
