She was very intelligent she knew when it would rain and all sorts of strange things. I hate when I hear someone say an offhanded remark that dogs and or animals are stupid. They are smarter than I can ever imagine we will ever know. I have heard many accounts of dogs or other animals showing just how intelligent they are. They communicate on a whole different spectrum than we humans understand. They are beautiful creatures and should be cherished. Just look at this video as one of many examples. God bless you and your beautiful dog. Thanks for this heartwarming story I really enjoyed watching it.

@@vortex162I’m not so sure really. There are human beings, heck down right friends who would stand there and watch their buddy get beat and pulverized. So am not sure is completely comes down to intelligence. The friend who does such a thing is just either a coward or not a real friend or in a wheelchair, I mean the variables are endless. But when referring to a dog or other animals in general, it is a different kind of intellectual prowess I believe. I am not any degree holding biologist or veterinary except….a for what it’s worth I don’t know that they would even have any answers. Every animal has their own personality and different type of intelligence. There are dogs that would not have done what her pet did and there are other dogs who perhaps would. I have seen way to many videos about animals and pets seeming to understand in a way that the human , who they have bonded with seem to have a certain degree of understanding with said person. I merely was stating that in general, I don’t care for hearing people speak in such negative ways about animals. I give them credit for the amazing things that I have watched them accomplish and, in my opinion, I seem to have a belief that they know and understand more about what is going on, especially in their surroundings than we as humans will ever know.

Those people shouldn't endanger others for their mistakes.

Such an amazing story! It's wild to think that the smallest decisions that we make in every day life can have an impact somewhere down the road. If she doesn't pick Taz out of all those other dogs or if the woman looking at him first takes him before she can then her outcome could've been completely different. I know that it would've more than likely changed her life in a way that she may not have went on a run that day but you know what I mean. Just say if she gets another dog and everything else is the same then it just amazes me to look at how our choices in life no matter how small can have such an impact on us and people around us. I'm so glad this ended well.

Want you also add that Danielle is a very brave Lady who had the common sense to know how to survive out there in the wilderness until beautiful Taz turned up with help.Sending my Best Wishes Hun to you and Taz, From Norfolk U K.♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️

Why is she a hero? I'd say the dog is the hero. She's an idiot for going out in the wilderness without anyone knowing where she went and then putting her dog's life in danger as well. Just plain stupid!

Not everyone has a close net family, or family at all. Can you imagine being a grown adult and calling your Mommy every single time you leave your house LOLHey mom I'm going to the grocery store, Hey mom I'm going to the park, Hey mom I'm going to the swimming pool I'll be home at 7 o'clock like you're still a teenager LOLPerhaps she should have let close friends know where she trained Frequently sure, but telling someone where you are every single time you leave your house it's just redundant.

Dogs are *so* much smarter than people give them credit for!!
I'm sure there's a few exceptions to this but my mutt is crazy smart!
I say mutt bc she's a mixed breed from a rescue.
I've been talking to her, like a person, since she was 3 months old.
I've given her commands that we've never trained on and she responds appropriately!
Idk if she'd do what Taz did, as we've never been in that situation, but I'd bet my life, she'd do what needed to be done!
I love her so much! ❤

What I’ve realized from all of these survival videos is that every single one of us needs one of those GPS trackers like they find the skiers in the avalanche… We all need some kind of emergency transmission with GPS to the outside world just in case… I’m gonna get me one of those… Even though I don’t take risk like these people do I’m still gonna get one…

The way the rescuer kept saying "let me follow the dog for a few minutes" seemed like he was doubtful, yet the dog belonged to Danelle. Most cases would be prevented by just carrying a cellphone with one, letting loved one know when going to remote or potentially dangerous areas and 2024, share one's location.

I could not bare to even do what she’s doing to get herself out of that Canyon. Like? SHE’S BAD ASS! With a shattered pelvis at that? Yeah I couldn’t do that but her being fit helps because she runs all the time with her dog Taz but good for her dog for also knowing what to do to help her get the help that she needed in order to survive and that’s how she’s here to talk about it and she even has a son all 3 of them are miracles that were placed when needed.
