Thank you so much for the tutorial Jeff. Is there a way to have the path generated with the F/S settings to 'Tool' by default ? I currently have to edit each F/S operation from library to Tool.
Great question, I'm not 100% sure how to do this as I haven't done much SW CAM recently. There should definitely be a setting for this, I'm guessing it might be doable with the "Default Feature Strategies" tab?
hey Jeffrey I wanted to ask, if i use a simple cnc machine with no tool changer which mean i can do only one tool path at a time how do i load it to my machine? or how do i split the Gcode to individual files
Hi, in your CNC machine's software, you should be able to define multiple tools that can you manually change in between operations. For instance, when using my CNC without a tool changer, my CNC gcode software interpreter pauses when a tool change is indicated in my gcode so I can manually change the tools when the tool changes. It will depend on your CNC gcode software interpreter.
I haven’t done this myself using SolidWorks CAM, but usually the gcode interpreter for your machine itself will prompt you to change tools if you don’t have an automatic tool changer setup. You can specify tool numbers in SW CAM.
You need to do more videos.
So much better than all the other stuff on TH-cam! Really easy to follow and well described. Enjoyed.
You helped me get past a few hiccups I was having. Thanks! Keep the videos coming.
Got my uni work due in tomorrow
And your vid has helped me sooooo muchhhh😂😅
Thank You
A great starting point for me!
This definitely takes longer than simple cad designing lol. Great video. Thank you.

Thanks Mister, Very nice.
Thank you.
And tell me if the machine is homemade, which post processor to choose?
I am trying to machine a filet and chamfer what is the process of doing this
Thanks, very nice.
How do we setup manual tool change?

Thank you for the great explanation :)
Thx for the good lesson
Very nice video. Thank's
Thanks so much
Hi i subscribe you chanell , are u doing courses for solidcam out of here
Sorry I’ve never used Solidcam so I wouldn’t be much help. I usually stick with Fusion 360 CAM or HSMWorks and dabble with SW CAM.
