Hi mam , I have one doubt. U r saying that bridge support or implant is good for when we don't have one tooth. But some dental clinic r saying that if we keep aligners that tooth gap will be closed permanently. Is it true mam ? Pls give me knowledge on this mam
If your teeth are forwardly placed , we do extract teeth or also utilise the space if there is any missing tooth and Aligners are used to bring teeth into proper position when they are not alined properly, if you have any such irregularly placed problem with front teeth you can go ahead with that but not in other cases where you do not need any correction with the front teeth and also grinding teeth space( molars) cannot be adjusted with Aligners.
I am 61 years old. rct done to my front upper teeth in January this year. No cap was put at that time. I lost the the teeth in May. Root is very much there. Much space was there between the upper two front teeth. The orthodontist doctor suggested - 1) Fiber post followed by crown but lot of precaution to be taken 2) If procedure in 1 fails, alternative is 3 unit bridge by doing first rct to adjacent teeth and then placing bridge with zirconia crowns. The doctor said implant is not advisable as there is much jaw bone loss. Another prosthodontist suggested implant only. 4 unit bridge is suggested but rct to be done for 3 teeth. Fiber post with crown cannot last long. He left Option of procedure to me. Doctor, As you n Dr K.A. Reddy are having immense experience in the field, advise/suggest which procedure is best in my case. I can share X-ray if it is to be seen.
