- If you take a look at the movie poster you'll see a bygone era as the poster has a telephone with a cord(not charging cable) attached. This came out around Christmas 1988. I"m pretty sure whoever made that decision got fired in early 1989. Gene & Roger both agree this movie grabs your attention, especially when Barry has his meltdown while on air. Pre-diabetic Alec Baldwin is in this too, I think before anyone knew who he was. His temper filled scenes are a harbinger to come that's for sure! If there's one word to describe this Oliver Stone movie it is "HEAVY", and I mean H E A V Y.
Loved it from its initial release. Eric was perfect for this role and knowing people who work in radio, it’s spot on for what happens behind the scenes
It's a great small film by Stone at his peak.
This film reminded me of uncut gems, makes me wonder if that’s why they casted Eric bogosian
I liked "Talk Radio" a lot better than a splashy Stone movie like "Natural Born Killers".
Yes, I think Stone had a sharp drop after this or JFK.
I think this movie and Salvador were the only totally real movies Stone ever made:
