Absolutely loving this. Feeds my childhood soul, when I used to play the Trophy Bass games all the time. LAke Murray is a world class fishery for bass too, and it's in the south, so to say "I think we'll beat that PB within the year" is one of the most redundant statements you could posibly make on that front. Of course you will top it. 6, 7 even 8 pounders are not as uncommon in Murray as you may believe, Micah. And that's coming from a fellow native Northwesterner! haha
here's my favorite catfish recipe
ingredients:
catfish filets(the smaller the chunks the faster they cook)
vegetable/olive oil
old bay seasoning
salt
get a tabletop electric grill like a george foreman grill. put the tempuratuere on high. if a drop of water sizzles on it, the grill is hot enough. put vegetable oil on the grill to help keep the meat from sticking. lightly sprinkle both sides of the catfish filet with old bay seasoning and a bit of salt. flip the filets occasionally until they are easy to pull apart with a fork. once they can be easily pulled apart, wait about a minute longer to make sure they are cooked all the way through. put them on a plate, add a little more salt to taste and enjoy.

After you do your catfish in, salt the skin, wait a moment and it will come off of the catfish much easier. You can use a salt shaker.

I could’ve been out fishing instead of getting my gums sliced open for bone graphs. But I love ya for it. I had a good site too 78. Next to the last 3 tent sites. Just a little FYI for ya. If you don't have butter with you you can use the Mayo you had on hand. Mayo is egg & oil and toasts bread nicely without leaving flavor. Can be used also when making grilled cheese. Just a heads-up. Great vid.

If you want really crispy and golden brown fish I recommend using corn starch or potato starch and fry it for a few minutes and you will not be disappointed!

i think that third striper you caught was actually a Wiper, a mix between a Striper and a white bass, it has broken lines on its side unlike the striper which has straight lines! amazing video as always!!

That catfish Burger look absolutely amazing and the crunchiness of the chips was just wonderful and having a sweet Vidalia onion I bet really helped and also tomatoes put a green pickles would have been better on it and maybe a little bit of some type of slaw or tarter slaw. But oh man that looks so delicious I can't wait to try that.

A golden tip: use the mayo instead of butter to toast the buns in the pan. It works fine and is super delicious!
