Hi Ashlena. I'm not good at sharing personal information, I have shared this with one other reactor and I have loved all of your reactions to The Warning so I would like to share with you. This is how I was introduced to The Warning. Back in 2018 I was in a bad place and a good friend had sent me a couple of songs. In 2014 I broke my back, and thanks to our health care system I became an Opioid addict, I had lost all hope and will to go on. I was about to end it all. I had my ear buds in and The Warning came on with "when I'm alone followed by Black Holes".I broke down in tears. I put my pistol down and balled. I got up and flushed my pills. I haven't taken another pill since nov 2nd of 2018 and I'm now mentally healthy. I'm so grateful for The Warning and their music, I'm like a proud uncle, I credit them for saving my life that day. Now I'm a super fan and anxious to see them live. However it's not easy for me to travel as I had a stroke last August and still trying to recover. That's how I found The Warning. I hope to one day get to share my story with the ladies. Thanks for all that you do, I have been here from the first reaction that you did and appreciate you. Thanks for taking the time to read this.
Pau is an amazing drummer, but there's something about her and a piano that hits me in the feels every dang time. Dany's voice has the power, but Pau's raw and emotional vocals get me😭
@@gregjetnikoff7124💯 agree! You can put Pau's Black Holes and Breathe right up there with Joni's My Old Man and River and Tori's Winter and Silent All These Years for the most awesomely heartfelt female sung piano ballads.
I think feeling like DPA are sisters or nieces is a very common thread among their fans. I see a lot of reactors saying thinks like, "I have no idea why I'm feeling like this, but I'm just so ... PROUD of them!" I know I feel the same way.
Good God! Dagger to the Heart. Every single time. Beautiful, haunting, mounful, and yet somehow uplifting. I'm broken. We're all broken. Make your light shine through the brokeness.
Now, can you imagine being there ? We had no clues, whatsoever. But, when Black Holes ended and she stayed at the piano, talking in Spanish with emotion in her voice, hitting slowly the first few chords of the song, I understood what was coming. Even if I do not understand Spanish, from the way she was talking, I knew... I braced myself but, it was just too much even for us in attendance. We were all crying !!!!
Pau should be one of the most complete artists around. She plays piano and drums, she writes lyrics, compose music, she was director for Q+Q and she transmits a ton of emotions. Thanks god I found this band.
It's so hard to see Pau cry and even harder when you know that she's actually an absolute firecracker. The rebel of the three. The one who doesn't put up with anything and defends herself and her sisters against haters. Takes hard action against them with, for example, the song Narcicista. When I see such a strong person, who we often seen laughing and then so sad and overwhelmed like here, then my heart breaks and tears come to my eyes, too.
I don't see Pau being made to do anything that she doesn't want to. I think she did this to show her immense gratitude to all the incredible fans, and for herself as well. What a courageous, loving, and triumphant performance!❤️🙌❤️
Pau is a gift to humanity. I don't know if we deserve it? Her sick voice? A sick voice? Her sick voice overshadows most of the healthy ones. Great performance, great reaction🤘🔥🎹 🎤📢🔥🤘
I also noticed that the orchestra members are all women and thought "statistically unlikely that happens accidentally. I love these women..." They give so much, then reach down and give more...
If there was a song performed live that deserved a Grammy Award, “Breathe” is it. I’ve never heard a song performed live that wrung every teardrop from my soul as much as Pau’s performance. Each time I listen to this performance of “Breathe”, my emotions are totally drained. Bravo Paulina Villarreal…Bravo!
I remember when she started playing the first note of breathe, people started to go crazy, I started crying, my friends started crying, many people from the crowd started to do it, it was a very beautiful moment, very emotional, I will always carry it in my heart because it may not happen again for a long time
Her (their) connection with their fans is so deep. It doesn't appear to be superficial. They genuinely feel they are friends, and feel that connection. That bond is so important to them. That's why Pau was so emotional. All those people were there to see her and her sisters for their anniversary. I am sure (in my gut) she decided to do this on the spot. All those people, having a grand piano, and how important that night was to them overall with all their countrymen there. I think she put the pressure on herself to give this gift to everyone, given the circumstances. She was giving and she got it back tenfold, and I think it overwhelmed her. Such a wonderful moment for all of us (who know their history) to see, from a distance.
She says "there's 8,000 of you here, who love us." She isn't wrong, but people who don't take as much as they can seem to be the minority. Fortunately these women with their talent and honesty seem to attract the fans who want to give them even more love than they put out every time they perform.
On "BREATHE" You could tell she was very emotional and on the verge of bawling her eyes out and that this is a tough song for her to sing, I say that because, when she says, "Can't call for help," on the word help you can hear a whimper in her voice. Thank You so much to Paulina for being vulnerable playing this BEAUTIFUL song live, pouring her heart and soul into it, I as with many of The Warning Army members loves her for it, even if it is just for this one time. Breathe is one of my FAVORITE songs ever.
I'm not being a hater but it is no wonder that Pau has made it impossible to go crazy over Taylor Swift. Pau wrecked it for all the others. Except her sisters of course. Lol
That was Pau´s gift to the audience to show her appreciation for all the love they gave her and her sisters during the show. I just love her, she has a beautiful soul, you can tell. What´s cool is that Enter Sandman came after this and she went back to being the fireball that she is on the drums!!
Black Holes made this 75-year-old man discover that his tear ducts still work. Just to think that English is her second language. She's a Goddess. ❤️🎶❤️🎶🥲
These two songs at this event might be the most powerfully emotional interaction between an artist and audience I've seen this century. Also goes a ways to restore faith in humanity
I knew Breathe would tear you up. I have gotten to a point where I can watch it don't make me cry. But watching you cry has me crying again. That tiny person has a heart as big as Mexico. Thank you for this!
I just found out about this band a couple of days ago and now my daughter and I are hooked. These two songs are so authentic you can feel all her range of emotions from happiness to sadness.
Thank you for your humanity. This was the largest criwd they played for that came to see THEM. The bigger crowds of 25,000+ were there for bands for whom they opened. Thats why she decided to gift them this performance. I, too, was picturing Dany and Ale watching from the wings. How proud of her thry must be. Like you, I find myself being so proud of them, from a fatherly point of view, thiugh. Watching them grow up before our eyes to mature into the talented powerhouse they are today is such a rare and wonderful thing. Again, great reaction. See you in Pomona.
Thank you Ashlena that reaction was beautiful. Pau omg look what you’ve done to the fans . It’s like a HUGE TWA group hug . I wish the whole world would feel this. 🤘⚡️🤘
I’m a 56 year old male, and watching Paulina sing these 2 songs. I need 2 boxes of tissues. I met her in Pittsburgh a week ago for the M&G and I thought I was going to cry in front of her, some how I didn’t. 😭⚡️🤘
We…The Rock And Roll fans should feel thankful to Pau, because with her skills, she could just move from Rock to the Pop scene and sweep the pop music “Queens” easily and make millions of fans and money, but instead she just sticks with her music convictions and make the The Rock fans happy.
In my over 50 years as a musician and music fan this is the most amazing, emotional and REAL performance I have ever seen. I am so glad you did these together, as it is really one performance. It is hard to see in this version, but when she stopped singing in Black Holes she actually gasped when she heard 8.000 people singing with her. You can see her trying not to lose it a couple times during the song and in some videos you can see some of the string players tearing up. The amazing thing is how happy and smiling she is on ALL of the other performances from this Pepsi Center show!
@@rgbenge7580 totally agree. I hope that people recommend this to everyone they know (I have). It’s one of the greatest performances I’ve ever seen. So real!
Once again.. our Paulina proves that she is truly the Queen of the Rock Ballad!😍 When this show (their 10th anniversary show) was done, it was also pretty much the 10th anniversary for the writing of 'Black Holes', when she was 13. How a 13 year old can write a timeless ballad like this, is completely beyond me, but it's as good and pertinent now, as it was when she first performed it.💖 Breathe is essentially a panic attack set to music, as she lost a close friend which prompted her to write this. Lava wanted one more song to finish out the 'Error' album, and Pau offered the raw version of this, recorded on their slightly out of tune home piano, with almost no effects. Her only request was that she would not play it live. However... the crowd at the Pepsi Center really got to her, and even though she was feeling lousy, she powered through and decided to do it anyway, and the crowd graciously helped her finish it when she broke down at the end. Even though it's hard to watch, this and Black Holes, are the most powerful performances from a rock band I have ever seen.😮 The venue, the people, the sound and effects, the production, are all 110%, and this whole concert should be immortalized on BlueRay, because it would sell like wildfire!!😄 🤘😎🤘 (Thank you Ashlena! Absolutely no shame in crying over this.. I do it pretty much every time, and I'm just an old retired mechanic with a penchant for good rock music!)😉
Anyone that doesn't get choked up or cry when hearing this performance of Breathe has a void where their heart should be. No one is ready for these two songs.
Once in a generation, we get a talent that captures and captivates us with not only their voice but their ability to make you feel what they feel, Pau is one of those talents. Then having two sisters with the same level of talent, personalities, stage presence, energy, and love they show for their fans (TWA) by letting us into their private lives is unlike anything I have ever seen. The Warning is a gift to all of us who love music. We get to see them again at the end of next week and I don't think I have ever been this excited to see a band live for the third time. Every show is like magic.
Apparently this song was written by Paulina in memory of a friend who died tragically. Paulina is an angel. Thank you for your reaction, Ashlena. You are a sweetheart.
This is not "apparently" the case. All that Pau ever said about "Breathe" is that it's a "panic attack set to music". Whatever triggered that attack is anybody's guess, but that all it is, a guess. Some commenters started claiming that a friend either drowned or ended her life, depending on who's telling the story. I suggest the drowning should be interpreted metaphorically, similar to the drowning in "Choke".
@@1nonlyrawbert I saw it in an interview back when Error was first released. It's been years ago but what @Hans_Reese said is correct. Pau said the song is a panic attack. This rumor of it being about the death of a friend is just that, nothing but a rumor. No one connected with the band has ever even insinuated that this was about a death. One fan made a speculation and now this is becoming a myth the size of "Phil Collins wrote 'In the Air Tonight' about his friend who drowned and a bystander who stood there and let it happened...". The only time I have ever heard of anyone in the band morning the loss of a friend was Dany, who dedicated a song in one of her intimate concerts. Are we thinking BOTH sisters experienced a death of a close friend? Nope. Pau's already explained it. And quite frankly, anyone who has ever suffered with anxiety, depression, and panic attacks can tell you the emotions conveyed by these lyrics are spot on. It's not describing losing a love one. It's describing losing yourself.
@@timpadgett7840True Dany is the one who spoke about the death of a friend, not being able to mourn properly with their busy schedule. The sisters being so close would most likely know the same lost friend.👍
Ash, I forgot to mention one very important one fact when she picked to do black holes she wanted to do with a string section. What’s special about it is that she went to the University, Monterey private university, and got it all female, string section. It was important to her equalization idea how important it is for promoting talented females props to her.
Her list of talents is long and varied. She's a classic creative. Piano and drums are only two of her media. Her pen, computer, voice, mind, and emotive, expressive personality contribute just as much. I could see her on Broadway in a musical, or as a solo singer/songwriter/performer like Carole King or Joni Mitchell. She's one of the greats.
This is how you should sing and that separates the greats from the rest, you either give it all or nothing. That's what Pau does, he always gives his all, when he plays the drums, when he sings and when he composes.
Black Holes breaks me then Breathe crushes what's left this was a powerful moment the crowd finishing the song out of love for her is one of the most beautiful moments I've seen at a show. There is another coming in When I'm Alone that's also amazing. These ladies are incredible performers this is why we love them so much. Thanks Ashlena this was worth the wait you are loved too. ❤🔥⚡
Thank you very much for your heartfelt reaction to these beautiful, emotional songs presented by sincerely genuine young lady. I'm certain she felt the love being sent to her by each of the 8,000 hearts in the audience. I have seen the entire concert video a few times and Pau makes me cry each time I watch this section (and I'm a nearly 70 yr old guy!).
I love your reaction Ashlena. Every time I watch this, I feel proud and broken at the same time. The lyrics and the connection between her and every person in the room. Just, wow.
I'm a 68 year old guy with two "adults'. The oldest has penned some songs close to this deep BUT I got one read and locked away in a notebook they are. Too lay that our on stage when you are so sick that the show was nearly canceled takes a spine and a half.
I admire his work very much. And this becomes more pleasant when I see you reacting to this surprising and spectacular band, which provides us with emotional oscillations since these 3 sisters invaded our lives. From the euphoria for authentic rock hits to moments of extreme emotion like those of Pau singing on the piano. Hugs from here in Brazil. 😁👍🇧🇷🇧🇷👏👏👏👏
These are the best sad songs of all time for me. Makes me cry every time but they're also so beautiful. Pau's voice sounds amazing and her getting emotional makes me emotional 😭 ❤️❤️
Hola Ash!! Pau es un tesoro y es imposible no llorar con ese par de canciones. La emoción que transmiten, la ambientación que tienen y la emoción con la que canta el publico son espectaculares. El concierto en el Pepsi Center fue espectacular. ❤
These two are amazing performances. Yeah, grabbing a fresh box of tissues is in order before watching them. Songs about addiction and depression are never easy. Pau is an emotive empath who feels things I don't even notice, until someone like her points them out. At that point, they get to me, and the floodgates open. I can't hear either of these without letting go of something. I'm glad her sisters let her have these moments. I'm sure they were equally proud of her, because this took guts! She is an important gift to the world. It's lyrics and performances like these (among other achievements) that got her that Decididas Global Award.
It’s so unusual isn’t it? To have that feeling for a band and you’re right, I can’t tell you how many times I’ve read commenters saying how proud they were of TW and Pau. I personally think it’s because no matter how new a fan one may be, they can still go back to the beginning from when they began to learn music and all the cute recitals, by the way when Pau bows at the end the way she does, she bows in exactly that way after a recital where her feet were hanging off of the piano bench because she was just a baby really. These moments are why we feel like aunts and uncles. TW touched the soul of the world but the world hasn’t found that out yet…❤
Been waiting for your reaction to these. ❤. Like a proud Auntie, ride or ride type of friend. You totally nailed actually how I felt about it too with Ale and Danny waiting to hug her. Both songs hit you right in the heart and make you want to hug her. Deep, deep emotions and so brave to play that live much less in front of 8000 people. 🤯
Watched it probably 50 times through both their channel and other reactors and you, never not cried. I think with her voice somewhat sick and her regular remarkable ability to sing her emotion. It just came out so much more powerful there. Epic.
Creo que Paulina no llega a entender lo importante que es para nosotros, no entiende que puede hacernos llorar de felicidad o tristeza, que nos llena de energia y nos conmueve con su vulnerabilidad y su gran corazon.
DAMMIT Ashlena!! I think I’ve seen over 100 reactions to Breathe so you’d think I’d start becoming desensitized to it… NO!!! I think it accumulates with every viewing and the tears roll every single time! I’m glad you were able to finally experience it. It’s a moment to truly treasure. Oh! Changing gears… I saw a guy with your DPA ‘Open the Pit!’ Shirt on at the Baltimore show last week! I pointed to it and said, ‘Ashlena?’ he smiled and said, Yep! Wish I would have snapped a pic for you but I was on my way to meet the opening band ‘Holy Wars’ - who kick ass by the way. You should check k them out. Anyway, great reaction as usual. And it ended just as I expected… with tears of love for Pau.
I'm a huge fan of the girls so I can't be objective and impartial, this song is very beautiful and deep, but seeing Pau live in this video is definitely on another emotional level, I cry every time I see the video, and I'm very happy for Pau because I think she didn't expect such complicity with the audience. Thanks for your videos! A big hug from Spain! ❤️🤘
Pau IS POWER !!! No wonder, that she stoles so many hearts and souls... I know that, because she stole mine... ⚡Viva Paulina⚡ NWSU/FloorFan/Epican/Ayreonaut/TWA 🤘😎🤘.
It is moments like this that cement The Warning collectively and Pau, Danny, and Ale individually as my most beloved band and artists. Each has given us glimpses into their hearts through the music, vlogs and insta stories, but this performance by Pau is so deeply moving. It is right up there with Dany in the cave when she sang "Listen Before I Go" by Billie Eilish for a lost friend.

That crowd was epic. They showed the love and the ladies returned it in kind. ❤
It’s emotional watching. Imagine if Dani had walked out with a Mic and sat next to her to help her sing.
Omg I would of 💀💀💀
In my over 50 years as a musician and music fan this is the most amazing, emotional and REAL performance I have ever seen.
Awww love this and thank you xx
When I saw the tears with Black Holes, I knew what was coming when you heard Breathe.
Yup
A beautiful song and a beautiful human being! This song hits me every time!!❤❤❤
such beautiful & powerful songs & performances! ♥ Pau!
Proof of this?
@@1nonlyrawbert I don't know. I don't know where I heard or read it.
Great reaction! I cry every time. So much emotion packed into so few words!
We just don’t deserve this. Absolutely amazing. I cry EVERY TIME.
And she wrote Black Holes at the age of 13. By herself. Amazing composition and interpretation
You can do it! ♥
thank you Franck
This performance broke me. ❤
Ash, I forgot to mention one very important one fact when she picked to do black holes she wanted to do with a string section. What’s special about it is that she went to the University, Monterey private university, and got it all female, string section. It was important to her equalization idea how important it is for promoting talented females props to her.
Now that makes my heart happy
Love it!!! Here's the thing...She's the fucking drummer!!! the DRUMMER!!! Mind blowing.
Lmao right
Thank you Ashlena. I cried at work while watching you watch this song.😂
Haha I’m sorry!!!
Thank you 🥹
Thank you very much for your heartfelt reaction to these beautiful, emotional songs presented by sincerely genuine young lady. I'm certain she felt the love being sent to her by each of the 8,000 hearts in the audience. I have seen the entire concert video a few times and Pau makes me cry each time I watch this section (and I'm a nearly 70 yr old guy!).
Awww I can’t even watch it anymore 😭
I love your reaction Ashlena. Every time I watch this, I feel proud and broken at the same time. The lyrics and the connection between her and every person in the room. Just, wow.
I can't stand that incredible performance. 😢 Pau is.......👏👏👏👏👏 ❤
This is why we love them so much.
The bow at the end, just like they did when they were little girls. 😢😭
⚡️THE WARNING⚡️
Hola Ash!!
Pau es un tesoro y es imposible no llorar con ese par de canciones. La emoción que transmiten, la ambientación que tienen y la emoción con la que canta el publico son espectaculares.
El concierto en el Pepsi Center fue espectacular. ❤
with heart in her hands and the soul in her voice
✨Pau es un Monstruo tras la batería, pero un Ángel en el piano. 😢Breathe es una canción de solo 2:47 min., pero duele toda la vida. Grande Pau!!! ⚡🤘
You nailed everything we all love about them- we are all proud of them- it’s unreal that one thing we all share.
I feel I‘ll never be able to listen to Black Holes without strings again.🥲🤘
I hope everyone understands how blessed we all are to have these women in our life. This includes you too Ashlena! ⚡⚡⚡
Awww thank you 🥹
so intense.. she carried it SO SO well,,,frankly, i would not say she "messed up",,she gave us EVERYTHING...
Yeah maybe wrong choice of words but regardless it’s was perfectly imperfect
I have been going through very difficult things in my life, and this song continues to make me cry every day I listen to it.
Stop listening to it!!! Jk
Music can be healing. I hope you’re doing okay 🥰
TEAR JERKER EVERYTIME ! LUV YA PAU !!! VIVA THE WARNING ! THANKS AGAIN ASHLENA !
Xx
Come on Ash, two deep Warning songs in a row means a lot of emotions 🎶🥹
So true
Putting these two songs back to back is almost cruel, a one two straight to the feels!
Watched it probably 50 times through both their channel and other reactors and you, never not cried. I think with her voice somewhat sick and her regular remarkable ability to sing her emotion. It just came out so much more powerful there. Epic.
Agreed!
Ahhhhh that’s so cool!!!!!!!! That has made my day!!!! 🥰🥰🥰🥰
Xx appreciate it
Paulina es un verdadero maestro de la interpretación y composición ,es un genio de la música
Fun factoid: No rehearsal, IIRC, with orchestra before the concert. Amazing performance from both The Warning and the orchestra.
That’s insane
Pau IS POWER !!!
No wonder, that she stoles so many hearts and souls... I know that, because she stole mine...
⚡Viva Paulina⚡
NWSU/FloorFan/Epican/Ayreonaut/TWA 🤘😎🤘.
who started chopping onions..... i love this
It is moments like this that cement The Warning collectively and Pau, Danny, and Ale individually as my most beloved band and artists. Each has given us glimpses into their hearts through the music, vlogs and insta stories, but this performance by Pau is so deeply moving. It is right up there with Dany in the cave when she sang "Listen Before I Go" by Billie Eilish for a lost friend.
