I live in Brooklyn and have Asthma. Conditions were better today no odor and frankly normal. I accept your stance and if true dangerous conditions are prevelant I agree. However all reports indicate air quality is improving and by Saturday normalcy is likely. Again I concur with you wanting to keep everyone safe and the horses not being subjected to ANY peril.

I live in Texas so I have no real idea how bad the air is for you all. Our AQI is 23, so that’s pretty good. Horses can’t run if they can’t breathe. Are they saying that if the AQI is 150-175, they definitely will not run?
I live on Long Island (10 miles away from Belmont park) and it's like breathing pea soup; air is so thick!! Been living here for almost 70 years & never ever seen weather like this. Best thing for the horses is postpone the race & give them respiratory tests. Only question to me is; how do they know how the horses were affected.

What does that have to do with the health of the horses and people? If they run the Belmont and even one horse dies the industry will get slammed hard for not caring. It's already on edge. I really don't understand where u r coming from. I want horse racing to survive.
@@davidpiscopo3774 horse could run yesterday. It has alot to do with the government controlling your life. The owners and trainers could determine what's best with for the horses in this situation. If government gets involved It becomes politics always.
Well, siding on caution is better than to press through! I think they should wait until next week, what’s the big deal with a week? Plus the horses should be tested. Remember the horses was outside the entire time the last 4 days, just do the right thing by the equine! Only my opinion!
