The plan wasn't for Tariq to shoot Detective Carter in the church He was only supposed to kidnap Carter and put him in the truck of Monet stolen car Monet said she handled the rest and Carter would never be seen or heard from again it was stupid for Tariq to even have a silencer on the gun since he wasn't supposed to shoot Carter but they did it that way to hype up episode 9 trailer
