Sam great video, I'm a lad that left school without any qualifications and am not sure how, as now have 60k subs and for my first year or so on TH-cam I filmed with my phone. Dream big and work hard and anything can be done
Thanks so much Sam! I absolutely needed this now. This year I moved to Australia to finish my degree but also with hopes of finally start working as a filmmaker. I ended up just working in hospitality for the whole year and not making much progress at all on what I actually want to do. I have enrolled in film school for the next year, and decided I will actually start pursing my passion until I am able to work fully as that

Mann everytime I get a notification that Sam uploaded I just have to stop all am doing what am going to say is that I have been chasing my dream I wanna be a photographer and it's been hard for me to get that money to purchase a camera man and nobody in my family thinks it's worth it but I know what I see and I believe that one day am going to proof my self worth of a dream I believed in together with my girlfriend and thanks Sam for always being there for me I know it sounds wierd but man you helped me believe one day I'll have what I always dreamed of have and I will come back and tell you

I did it man. I got to work with Mike Corey/Fearless and Far here on TH-cam this last March. He is your Peter Mckinnon. Mike inspired me to travel, fight my fears, to look at life in a different way. He literally changed my life. For 3 years I watched his videos on here, being my source of inspiration. He hand-picked me to work with him and I never in a million years thought I would be filming with him for his TH-cam channel. When I found out though a message, that I was going to be traveling with him, I cried my eyes out. I knew then magic was real. But after working with him, I realized that style of life wasn't what I thought it was. I found out my dream wasn't what I really wanted in the first place. Since I've been making documentaries and filming weddings full time. I discovered happiness isn't about filling your ego, looking cool, or trying to prove something to anyone. It's about being a master of your time and doing what you love with it. Thanks for reading.

Love this dude. Iceland was my first ever big international trip and it totally changed my life.
This past year has been eye opening for me. I wanted to be in the creator space so bad and maybe I was naive but after years of being on TH-cam, I've finally started to get some traction and my dreams are starting to come true
Also kind of needing to hear this. Been trying to travel with my photography - got the occasional little sponsor or 'free' trip/stay here and there, but really needing some paid work now and constantly doubting myself. Also slightly stressing as I have no idea what I'm doing/where I can stay/live the rest of the year, on top of needing to update my 10 year old DSLR to keep up with video. I think having creative/similar friends helps a lot, but so far haven't found a group to shoot/explore with. Fingers crossed I get one decent job by the end of the year.

This helped. People haven’t been telling me I’m going to fail, quite the opposite actually. I have nothing but support from friends and family. My biggest hurdle is myself. I’ve been trying to overcome the imposter syndrome and just make cool shit.
