Here's a video of my first experience with doll hair rerooting as I reroot my very first doll, Cleo from Monster High to make her look more show accurate like in the webisodes! :) Hope you guys will enjoy!

I don't pick the hairs out with tweezers, I use the tweezers on the inside of the head to scrape the glue off starting next to the ear. I found this works well and I get one head done in about 30 minutes. Just pull the glue and hair through the hole in her head. Doing it this way also means all the old horrible glue is out and the heads 100% ready for new hair. I also find if you heat the head uder hot water the glue softens as does the plastic head and is easier to work with.

@@pianeko974 etsy has a lot of options and beginner kits!
Best advice: Use a hair dryer or hot water to remove the head. Use needle nose pliers to remove it from inside the head. This makes it easier for me 😉

I thought it was very clever of you to use the glue bottle as a stand. Well done! I bought a mermaid "Barbie" from the Dollar Tree to try to reroot. This is such a great way to relax! It is such a creative hobby. The possibilities are ENDLESS!!! Happy Crafting!

hey sorry for being so late but may i know where you bought that wig? or did you make it yourself? i'm planning on rerooting my upcoming dolls if their hair gets glue seepage (which is probably going to happen since i live in a place with hot weather) also how do you deal with the monster high dolls’ glue seepage?

What glue do u use
Can you show how you make the bangs flat? My Dell's bangs always,stand up.
I just pour hot water from above their head and they usually flatten down! or you can also wrap the bangs with a piece of plastic when you pour the hot water!
What size was your needle
You should pull the hair with the tweezers from inside the head because the glue will also come off easier that way ;)

Some things I've noticed about rerooting on other people's tutorials that might be useful to you:
- Some people heat their dolls up in a warm oven to make the plastic softer, and thus makes the head easier to remove.
- There's glue holding the roots in place on the inside of the doll's head, so scraping that off might make for easier removal, and preheating the doll might make the glue itself softer.
- Some people also go to pull out the doll's roots from the inside of the head.
I haven't done this myself, so please take it with a grain of salt, but this does seem to make things a lot easier for rerooting. :) You did a beautiful job with Cleo though! I love the colors you picked out for her new hair!

I once bought a cheap draculaura and I bought her for my very first re root experience and omg 😂 I broke her neck and split her neck in half and I was soooo frustrated because I had to do it the thread and needle method

if you’re looking for a faster way to remove the hair just use the tweezers and scrape the inside .. it’ll remove the glue and it’s x10000 faster
my first rerooting resulted in her head falling apart, luckily I figured out a way to cover it with a veil and a needle and thread

What kind of hair did u use?
Nylon
It would probably be easier if you plucked the dolls hair from the inside
what do you do if the glue in the dolls head is not coming out?
+Carollee ballenger put the head in hot water or blow hair dryer on it for a bit.
I use a pair of tweezers with a thin flat edge to lift the glue from the head, using hot water helps to do that. then I work with a small pair old scissors and either tweezers or a pair of long nose pliers. Most of it should come out quite easily, but when the chunk of glue is too big, use the little scissors to snip it in half, or to snip parts off the sides.
I've also found that if you trim the hair to the scalp and then use tweezers inside the head to lever the glu out, the hairs short enough to pass easily through the holes in the head and it gives you a good idea on where there's still glue stuck to the head. For example if you've run your tool in between the glue and the inside of the head and there are still hairs poking out in that location, then you know theres still glue stuck there.

You can take out the little hairs from inside the doors hair
DON'T PULL IT FROM THE OUTSIDE! it rips the holes 😨 use pointy pliers and pull it from inside the head, way less damaging
