    CORRECTION: There is in fact a vanilla small grid door, thanks @MrMonkehmonkeh (James Martin) for pointing me towards it. I'll have updated the ship making it 100% vanilla!

      @@chrishoppner150 True, I got used to the term back when there was no DLC, so I still use it to mean nothing but the base game blocks. I don't know if there's a better one now.

    Really nicely done Shifty.
    You put alot of work into this ship and thought things through.

    • @ShiftyshadowTV
      @ShiftyshadowTV  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks :D
      Air Vents have a "set up actions" option, the first one triggers when your room reaches full pressure and the second triggers when you hit zero pressure. I set up timer blocks to "trigger now" off of the air vents so that I can have multiple things happen. No scrips were used for this ship (or any of my ships thus far).

    I'm preeetty sure there is a vanilla small grid door that isn't DLC, it just isn't offset like that one. Added in the sparks of the future update I believe.

    • @ShiftyshadowTV
      @ShiftyshadowTV  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I honestly wish you were correct and I just went to triple check. However, that is the only small grid door made by keen, DLC or otherwise, and it does require the Sparks of the Future DCL purchase.
      Here's a screenshot of the door as a one block blueprint: ibb.co/BqsWGRW
      And a link to the SE store where it describes the door as being part of the Sparks of the Future DLC pack: www.spaceengineersgame.com/game/space-engineers-sparks-of-the-future/

    wow this thing is an amazing survival ship, do you plan on updating it with the new prototech?
    you could make it kind of modular from the outside so you could put in a small grid refinary and add replacable batterys so you could change the normal ones for prototech when you get them.

    • @ShiftyshadowTV
      @ShiftyshadowTV  24 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      I'll probably design a new ship that is upgradable to prototech. It will probably be easier than trying to retrofit an old one, especially one that is already optimized like this.

  • @Averie69

    Air vents should apply thrust when venting air out, in space at least, i would totally use it for rcs thrust xD

    • @ShiftyshadowTV
      @ShiftyshadowTV  ปีที่แล้ว

      That would be cool. It would let you use oxygen to move a little, reducing waste and making storing more oxygen worthwhile.

      I'm planning to make my version on the workshop DLC free and incorporate some of the new blocks. Just need to replace a few doors, and move a vent and 4 timer blocks. In this case, I don't think it's enough of a change to warrant a reupload.

    Hello there, I am trying to replicate your ship setup using the workshop blueprint in a survival world, i've gotten everything else set properly, just trying to figure out how you did the main airlock lights! The toolbar for the Timer Block (AL Empty) and (AL Full) both have a missing item on slot #1. How do you get it so that it knows when there is air in the airlock or not?

    • @ShiftyshadowTV
      @ShiftyshadowTV  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I'll look into it and get back to you. I may have broken that in my most recent update to the blueprint.
      The air vents can detect if a room gets pressurized or depressurized, they have actions you can set up when those things occur.

    • @Koluherm
      @Koluherm 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@ShiftyshadowTV ahh okay so like the control seat actions that queue the alert system on and off, okay now I understand! I think I know what block is missing in that timer set as well, the green airlock light shown in the video was replaced with a 1x2 window above the interior airlock door. Thanks so much for your speedy response, and I absolutely love the ship design!
      Edit: I also used your ship printing guide to help me with printing this gargantuan small-grid shuttle, really saved me a ton of hassle. Thank you!
